  • Good controller but pricey and lacking features
Style: Pro Attachment Set
This is a good controller but I think it's a little on the pricey side considering it lacks many of the features of the Switch Joy-Cons. An NFC receiver at least would have been good so I can scan amiibos without switching controllers. The extra assignable buttons on the back are a nice extra feature though. ... show more

  • Pricey, but gets the job done.
Style: Pro Attachment Set
I wish they sold the connector as a stand alone. It is too expensive if you already have a HORI controller.

  • Native button mapping unavailable, no wireless operation, weak headset output, no rumble
Style: Pro Attachment Set
Overall, this is probably the best and most comfortable mobile playing experience I’ve had with the switch. Essentially the buttons/joysticks are on par with the pro controllers, which is a noticeable improvement over the native joycon joysticks, which I found really difficult for precision movements. I would avoid playing any first person shooter games in “mobile mode” with the stock Joycons, but no more! I used to have the RDS industries grips/handles that helped with the grip, but did not help with the joysticks. The Hori split pad pro is better. I like the Hori split pad a lot and if you plan to use this strictly for mobile gaming where the split pad is attached directly to the Switch, you’d be hard pressed to find something better. However, I have some gripes with this product, mostly that these aren’t included in the description: 1. You cannot remap any of the buttons in the Switch menu - mainly I currently have presets for N64 games like Goldeneye. Even the mapping that’s built into the split pad pro doesn’t allow you to swap joysticks, etc… really, this just means I can’t play goldeneye with this controller at all. It’s just one game, but still silly that I can’t remap like regular joycons. 2. No wireless operation at all. It’s unclear from the product description if there’s the option to use these wirelessly… there is not. They either need to be attached directly to the switch, or connected to the cabled adapter via USB 3. No rumble feature - again, this is missing form the description 4. The headset output on the wired connection is really bad. I tried with several headsets and in all instances, the sound was weak/thin as if there wasn’t enough power driving the headphones. I tried with everything from earbuds to pro studio headphones. Same results with everything. In summary, this is a pretty great option, but definitely not the best considering the price. I’m into the idea of having a wired controller, so I’m keeping mine. However, I’ll also be ordering a DoyKoy Joycon as I think that one would be a much better “daily driver”. ... show more

  • Great feel, lacks features
Style: Pro Attachment Set
This is a really great feeling controller and I love using it in hand-held mode. It has much larger buttons, a great D-Pad, and analog sticks with more travel than the standard joy-cons. Its major cons are that it lacks gyro, rumble, and Bluetooth connectivity (you can't use them unless they're either attached to the Switch, or plugged into the usb port using the split pad pro attachment) In my opinion, it's great for hand-held if you do a lot that, but lacks too many features to be a straight replacement for something like the 1st party pro controller in docked mode. ... show more

  • Wouldn't buy again.
Style: Pro Attachment Set
I like the size of this controller but thats where it ends. They feel cheap for the price and I have about 20 hours with it and already have stick drift. Waste of money.

  • It’s a great controller. On dock mode or off.
Style: Pro Attachment Set
The media could not be loaded. I don’t need rumble and all that other fun stuff on the controller for the games I play I need a controller with a good headphone jack I have bought a couple power a controllers the jacks weren’t great in those controllers but this controller the price is a little high but it is worth it ... show more

  • It's nice but it's expensive
Style: Pro Attachment Set
$80 is just steep for the split pad pro even with the controller attachment. If you play in handheld majority of the time just get the split pad pro without the wired connection.
