It is very short, but just what I wanted to put next to the couch. I also like that it has the rubber grooming tool on the post, so he can rub on that (we'll see if he uses it). Assembly was very easy, but be sure to screw the longer posts to the top, before attaching them to the base....instructions are very basic, and don't tell you that. (At first glance, I thought some hardware was missing, but the two longer posts had the screws already inserted in the top end.) The very small curved shelf seems very flimsy, but he probably wouldn't use that part anyway. (That shelf might be ok for a kitten.) I have 2 cats. It's very easy to put together, I haven't had to tighten it back up again, and I've had this tower for over a year and they both use it constantly every day. The structure is sturdy for sure! The top ring cushion comes of the top platform for easy washing, but stays on very well when put back on, I've taken it off and washed it 3 times maybe. Both cats LOVE the hammock and it has held up well, even when both of them snuggle together with their big butts 😂 the only knock I have for it, is the rope wrapped around the post for scratching. This started to unravel for me a few months into having it. About half of it is unraveled now, but the cats still love this thing. If you're looking for a cozy hangout for your cat and have backup scratchers for when that feature unravels here, I'd say it's a good buy. ... show more

My son adopted a kitten, and so we bought this for the little guy to hang out on. As other reviews have mentioned, it's not overly large, but lets face it, adult cats will routinely lay on something that's too small for them, so hopefully once he's fully grown, he'll continue to use this. I caught this during a really good sale/discount, and for $20, I was expecting something flimsy or low quality, but was really surprised, it's a nice, sturdy place for him to hang out. My cat does like this. The bed at the top is one of her favorite spots to nap or just observe what's going on. It's a good size for her; she's about 13 lbs. She uses the sisal scratching post but doesn't pay much attention to the rest of it. It was simple to put together (but easier if you have a helper to hold things in place while you screw it together). The cover on the top is easily removed for washing, and it washes well. Biggest drawback was the base on mine broke after a couple months, so it became very unstable - unusable, really. I bought a couple metal braces that I screwed onto the bottom to hold everything together and now it's nice and sturdy again. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. I was a bit worried reading the reviews as someone had mentioned having a bigger sized cat and saying it was too small for them. I mean, the tree is definitely small, but for the quality of the product & price I’d say it’s a very good cat tree! My cat is pretty big and weighs about 17 pounds; I’m sure it is inevitable for a cat to knock over a cat tree whilst in zoomies mode, but he can climb and lay on it just fine (: I put some cat nip on it and played with him after putting it together about 3 hours ago and he hasn’t left the tree. Assembly was very easy. It took me about 15 minutes to put it together, I got a little confused at first because you have to put the top part on first, then put the bottom piece on. Usually I start with putting stuff on the bottom piece for cat trees. But that’s the only “problem” that occurred, since the assembly instructions are one page and don’t mention the order to start it. Very simple correction though. I bought this tree when my cat was a kitten. It’s the perfect size for a small cat and he loved playing in it. It was very sturdy and easy to put together with no missing parts.
