I am a big fan of light therapy. I have a near infrared sauna, red lasers, near-infrared panel, and now a multi-light bulb that provides red, blue, green and near infrared frequencies. I know my way around this approach to wellness. I like how convenient these Hooga bulbs are to handle and use because they are smaller in size than other things out there and are so portable. I can easily take it with me or to a friend’s house for their emergency situations. I keep this plugged in next to my bed so that I have no excuse not to use it regularly. This kind of red light is not considered hazardous to eyes and so goggles are not necessary but are included with this bulb and may make it more comfortable for those who are sensitive to light. Do NOT confuse this red light with a red LASER. That IS hazardous to the eyes. Never, NEVER look at a red laser. This bulb is NOT a laser. Some of the lights may not appear to be lit. This is NOT a defect. Red near-infrared light is not visible to the human eye, but they are firing nonetheless. Reviews saying something else are written by uninformed people. The light is working properly if three of the lights appear unlit. I prefer the manufacturer spend his energies on making a quality light and not in providing a stand. A simple gooseneck light can be purchased by anyone separately according to individual needs. More professional stands for therapy are also out there for purchase. This makes the bulb itself an affordable entry-level purchase by nearly anyway wanting to explore light therapy without bundling extra things with it, thereby raising the price. I purchased a multi-bulb to get the benefits of the other color frequencies in one treatment. I feel the human body is so brilliantly designed that it knows how to pick and choose what it needs since humans do not really know the all the benefits of any one color. Rather than guess wrong, I just use all of the colors in the multi-bulb for this reason. I bought one for my business partner since we do alternative health research and are always on the lookout for different modalities to explore. He is as blown away by how effective this muscle tests as I am. We also shine it into our purified drinking water since water so effectively and efficiently holds energy and light is energy. A lot of research has been done on this so do some reading. Just shine your light for about 5 seconds on your purified water. This is one reason we like the multi bulb. We are infusing different color frequencies all at once. What possible benefit could there be? No one really knows but there is no harm in doing this and it just might have undiscovered positive benefits. I am happy to add this to my light spa in my house. No need to go out for these treatments. No need for those scary masks that can do just your face and nothing else. Light therapy can be done very effectively and conveniently at home with an affordable Hooga bulb.

This is my first red light therapy device. I chose it because Hooga is a reputable company and it wasn't expensive. It felt like a good starter device. I planned to buy a stand for the bulb but decided that it wasn't necessary. The bulb isn't too heavy for me to hold and I can easily put it the distance I want from my skin. It seems quite durable so I plan to travel with it. As for results, I think it is too soon to tell. I have used this bulb for a month or so, usually 3-4 times a week. My face looks a bit smoother and more hydrated. I have high hopes that with continued use my face will look fresher and with fewer lines. I am also using this bulb on a scar, but haven't noticed any changes yet. Overall, I am very pleased with my Hooga bulb and I recommend it for anyone who is interested in red light therapy.

Chronic dermatitis sufferer, and i thought I'd give it a try. People swear by this therapy, but I'm not sure I have noticed any improvement in my skin condition. It's more of a warm fuzzy, and it's kinda fun. I highly recommend buying a desk lamp shaped for these bulbs. The lamp cord that comes with it is ok, but really awkward to use. I had a desk lamp already and once I put it in there, it was super easy to use. Again, not sure if it's a genuine health benefit, but it's a great quality light and cheap enough to give it a try.

Dr. Mercola had this described in an article on Red Light Therapy. We purchased in 2023 and the light is super bright, strong and the included eye coverage goggles are needed for safety. This light is much less than the red light therapy towers you may have seen elsewhere. This light is a great introduction to red light therapy and the benefits of healing the skin, producing collagen and leading to a healthier lifestyle. We would buy this again.

A great little starter lamp. Arrived in about 10 days, very well packed, I had to saw thru the polystyrene with a kitchen knife to get at it. Had to get a US to UK converter plug - got a “Lencent Travel Plug Adapter Universal Socket for European US Australia to UK” from UK amazon It also should really have a 3amp fuse - the Lencent plug came with a 13amp but UK lamps generally have 3amps apparently, so I’ll add that later. And NO SMELL! Amazing for heated plastic. I'm extremely chemical sensitive but no probs so far. Just gave it test run for 30 mins…it’s hand held, but decided to try it out resting on a plate cos dont want to necy be holding it for the rec 4-10 mins treatment time, I might just wanna put it on a bedside table or something. There is a seperate holder to go with it but it doesn’t have great reviews. In the 30 mins I left it on the plate it just got warm to touch, not hot, so that's good. It gives a really lovely warmth, very pleasant….it actually does feel lke a healing warmth. Had to buy some red light protecting glasses, not bc its harmful, apparently infrared can be helpful for eyes, but it VERY bright. The ‘eye protectors’ that came with the lamp are solid rubber - cant see thru them, can’t see what you’re doing. Not necessary. There are plenty you can get which you can see thru. You could technically use it further away- according to my AI research at 20” distance you’d have to increase therapeutic time by 50-100%. So that's do-able. And So far so good.
