Fairly easy to assemble. The racks are mesh which allows for aeration with minimal dirt collection. The wood top is attractive enough to be used as a display. Husband has several pair of high cowboy boots but we could only fit 3 pair and had to do it on top. One of the shelves could potentially be eliminated to accommodate high boots. We used it in one of his closets for every day shoe wear. It is a nice height and width for a smaller type closet. Good value for the money. Would be nice to start seeing products made in the USA. I'm not gonna lie I was afraid I'd be returning this thing because of thin cheap materials and fake wood or something as is so common on amazon, but this thing actually surprised me. The metal and wood are both reasonably thick, not to where I think I've got some antique furniture, but enough that I wouldn't think it came from wish.com or something. That being said maybe it's my fault but I didn't realize the height of the shelves was not that much, if you are a guy and wear hightops or boots, they aren't gonna fit on the bottom two racks, and same goes for ladies with boots or heels. The shelves are pretty tight, and if I squeezed mine I could get em in, but they would leave crease marks. I have enough slow tops that I could still fill it out (3 pairs per shelf) but if taller shoes make up most of your foot wardrobe, I'd reccomend getting a shoe rack with more shelf height. ... show more

I just separated from my wife and escaped to an apartment. My walk in at the old house had built in shoe cubbies for 30 pairs of mens shoes. My apartment walk in has zero shoe storage and I have a lot of shoes. I needed a solution with a combination of capacity, maximum height (to fit under my shirts), and maximum length. Two of these are perfect. I can use the wood top shelf for shoes too, the top wire shelf allows enough room for my boots, and the bottom shelf leaves enough room for all my flip flops under it on the carpet. Hoobro has a similar but lower cost 4 tier but it didn’t have enough room for the flip flops. I paid a fair amount more for this one because of that.
