Assembly was quick & easy. The illustrations in the assembly instructions are clear and easy to follow. We are not super handy, and it took us 45 minutes to complete. Once assembled, I was a little surpised that the unit is smaller than I envisioned. It's less than 3 feet tall, 18 inches long, and 12 inches deep. My fault for not reading the specs more closely. It would work well for kittens, but probably not for a medium to large cat - it's just too small. We have a small 2 year old cat. I had to entice her to hop on by pouring catnip on it. She may become interested, but for now, she hasn't done much with it.

I bought this and gave as a gift to my friend who just got a kitten. She showed me a video and kitty was loving it. She put a hanging ball from the top and the cat plays with it and really is getting use of it.

I bought this for my 9 week old kitten. It was easy to put together and even came with a drywall anchor. It took less than an hour to assemble. It is plenty big for him but most likely is not large enough for a grown cat. Not sure if the fabric will hold up very long due to the amount that shed on me while putting it together. Overall I am pleased with the quality of this for the price.
