    • A safe, safe for a first time buyer (me).
Truly, I love this safe. The low profile, low weight (for people with bad backs), is PERFECT for putting it on the bottom shelf or floor (in the closet) & covering it up with sheets or towels, & putting things in front of it too. It has keys that come with it in case the batteries die. You can bolt it to the floor too. It comes with everything you need. Before I bought this safe I called amazon & asked the gentleman I spoke with to figure out how large it really was. I have no knowledge of the metric system & needed to know what a cubic foot was compared to the lock box I had at the bank. Those dimentions (sp) were 10 inches high, by 10 inches wide, & 17 inches long. He concluded that the cubic foot was a few inches larger. So I bought it for SO MUCH LESS than a years rent on the bank box. Now that I have it, along with everthing I took out of my bank box, I find that I am able to fit a little more than half of my things in it. To me, that was a sad awakening. Maybe it didn't hold all my things because it was lacking the height I needed. Or maybe the gentleman I spoke with didn't remember the metric system as well as he thought he did from when he went to college; (it took him a long time to figure out the conversion). My apologies to him, as I REALLY put him on the spot. I am still very, very happy with this safe!! It's an easy read concerning the directions, using it is a breeze, I can always stack another (same size safe onto it), & like I said, the size & weight are perfect for so many reasons!!!! It was such a wonderful price that I shall purchase another one. This safe is 100% perfect. I highly recommend this safe to everyone. I have spoken about it to my family & 1 or 2 friends. I don't want everyone I know to be aware that I've moved my valuables from the bank to my home. This safe hides PERFECTLY in a small area of a closet. People, this is a definite buy it now safe. After traveling for 8 years as a computer consultant, one becomes familiar with the hotel safe. These are not meant to house the extensive diamond collection but it is fit-for-purpose to be that security layer. Like layers of an onion, this is used to store items in my travel trailer that a snatch-and-grab person would need time. If the would-be thief makes it past the locked trailer door, then they must now break into a hotel safe. Yes, bring some tools and maybe after 10 minutes you'll get in... But again, fit for purpose, this will stop the snatch-and-grab thief skulking around the trailer park for easy opportunity. Good product, well build, easy to install and use. ... show more

Excellent product... subtracted one star cause setup problems cause only one key would reset pad. Bought watch/jewelry box on Amazon that fits perfect plus room for a couple of guns next to it.

I purchased this safe in 2021, and while it worked adequately for several years, it was never a great product. Recently, when I tried to lock it, it wouldn’t lock after several attempts. When it finally did, I didn’t think much of it—until I went back to unlock it and found that my code no longer worked. I’m not sure whether the batteries are low or if the code was somehow reset during the locking process, but either way, this there is a design flaw. It’s a cheap safe for a reason! ... show more

What a great item!!! I was in no rush to buy a safe so I had all the time to research, read reviews etc., etc., etc. Considered Barskas, Vikings, Sentries, Gunvaults, Stack-ons, First Alerts and others. I decided that thumbprint technology can be unreliable, not to mention that being older, it might not work for me for too long. Was also not in the mood to "program" 20 scans of each finger just to get it right. Rotary locks seemed to taked too long to open during crisis situations. Fireproof vaults can retain moisture and cause rusting. Then of course there's the price thing.....did not want to pay more than I needed to. This safe fits the bill. Staightforward, no motion detectors or unnecessary doodads. Metal is thick enough...no flexing. Big enough. Beeps and combinations can be suppressed as needed. Finish and alignment seems as perfect as can be. Made in the USA! Bought from a third party seller (Trendology) with no drama (nor tax or shipping)....received item 5 days early, well packed, at the best price on and off Amazon. I highly recommend it. ... show more

    • Solid for the price, just like a hotel safe
This is pretty well made for the price, mostly steel construction, plastic face plate is reasonably solid, but won't stop a really determined thief. Having said that, behind the face plate is a solid steel plate that houses the electronics and locks so they won't get your stuff. Works just like a hotel safe where you set the code each time you close it, rather than set it just once. So remember what you set it to each time! I have a problem when it arrived, but customer support was so helpful I gave it five stars anyways. My problem was that the display had the characters "NANUAL" which given the limited character set I assume it meant MANUAL. The issue was that somehow the locking mechanism had got out of alignment so I was sent the following steps to fix it within 5 mins of my call. 1. Locate the three screws on the back part of the door on your safe. They should be located on the top left, bottom left, and one right in between the bolts. Use your Philips screw driver to remove those screws. The back part of the casing should come off. Just remove it but DO NOT detach the wire. 2. Manually adjust the solenoid pin on the top and rotate it to make it look like a reverse L. The bolts should stick out once your done adjusting the solenoid pin. 3. From there reinsert the key and turn it to the right. Press and hold the clear button for 3 seconds. Once done please turn the key back to the left and remove it from the key lock.
