  • Great product.
I have Honeywell air purifiers in every room in my house except the bathrooms. I bought 4 of the 300 series for the larger rooms. I didn’t need that much square footage covered but I can put them on low or medium instead of using them on high all the time. I run them 24/7. I have a cat and a doberman and my house gets very dusty from everyone going in and out the house all day. After buying my first Honeywell I noticed the difference in the air quality. They catch alot of dust also. I do vacuum the pre filter once a week on every one and replace the filters according to the instructions. ... show more

  • It actually works!
I have allergies to dust mites, mold, pollen, etc. I was pretty good all winter. But, as soon as the snow began to melt, I got very sick from the mold outside and the dust mites inside (who also became more active as the weather warmed up). I was desperately looking for something that might help. My allergist has recommended air purifiers over the years and I have tried them, but always ended up returning them because they did nothing and usually started to rattle after a very short time. I ordered two of these, one for my main floor and one for my basement. It took running them on "turbo" for two weeks, but now I am almost symptom free. They are quite loud and they put out a lot of air, but it's worth it to stop my violent coughing fits. After reading the reviews, I opted to buy the genuine Honeywell filters and pre-filters. Amazon did not have them in stock, so I ordered them directly from the Honeywell store. One thing, the plastic edging on the white filters is bent, which leaves a gap where air can escape around the filter. I organized the three filters in such a way as to position the worst bent sides in the middle between the two filters on the bottom and the one filter on the top. Then I cut a piece of foam strip insulation to fit and carefully inserted it in the gap. No more leaks. I know you can pay a lot more and a lot less for air purifiers. I think this one is a good middle of the road option. I have had them only since the beginning of May, so I cannot attest to how long it will last. I am just very glad that it works. I have not tried the timer function and probably won't. I just run it 24 hours a day. As far as odor elimination, I have not really noticed if it helps with that. It does what it is supposed to - it cleans the allergens out of the air that were making me sick. UPDATE: I have had these for several months and have discovered things: 1) the pre filters are washable (it says so in the warranty). I vacuum them very well and then soak them in the bathtub with some laundry sanitizer overnight and then rinse them very well and let them dry. Before reinstalling, I spray them on both sides with sanitizing spray. You need to do this once or even twice per month. Every three months is not nearly enough. Also, I have twice as many air purifiers as the recommended square feet allow and I wish I had more. The only way I can breathe without coughing is if I stand over it and breathe the air that comes out. That stuff is fabulous. So, these do work, with a lot of extras. I own 7 of them and just ordered 2 more as spares when they start to crap out. I run all 7 on turbo and it's better, but still not enough. I realize that most people don't have the severe allergy problems that I have and I am happy for them. Maybe they won't have to go to such extremes. UPDATE #2: I now have 10 of these air purifiers in my tiny 820 square foot house. 6 upstairs and 4 in the basement. I find it works best to clean the pre filters once per month, on or around the first. I vacuum them on the dirty side only. That backs the dirt out instead of sucking it through the filter. Use the round brush attachment only. I was using the upholstry brush and ruined a few prefilters. It's too rough and damages the filter. Then, instead of the bathtub, I put them in the washing machine with some laundry sanitizer on rinse and spin. They come out all wrinkled, but then I smooth them out and flat dry them. That works. I was running all 10 of them on turbo and was finally able to talk instead of croaking like a frog and sleep instead of coughing all night. But, my electric bill more than tripled. I turned them all down to high and I seem to be doing okay with that. It is deep winter here in Northern Minnesota and below freezing, often even below zero all of the time. Things will probably deteriorate when spring comes and I anticipate having to turn them back to turbo. I also turned the lights off on all of them to save power. I really liked having all of those blue lights on all over the house, but we have to make sacrifices. ... show more

  • Works great at removing smoke & odors in My home.
I like this product that I bought 2 to do my whole home. We have air quality issues in NJ due to fires both locally and in Canada. I bought the for that issue and found them to work beyond my expectations at clearing the air of smoke and odors.

  • Works well and you can turn off all the lights if you like
I bought two of these, I have one that sits on the middle level and one that goes in the bedroom. Really reduce the amount of dust floating around in the house, and when I went to check the filters recently for the heat pump, air conditioning unit, they were still very clean, so it helps with that too. I like that you can set the lights to different levels, or completely turn them off. The one in the bedroom gets turned off completely. I won’t come out on sound since I like the sound of fans and I do run it on high. You’re very sensitive to Sounds. I guess read some of the reviews and see what they say. But it’s a keeper. ... show more

  • Great Value
I needed a HEPA filter for my apartment because my neighbors smoke in our house (disgusting). This one is more expensive than other listed, but we have a large, open kitchen and living room so we needed something that could do the filter about 900 square feet. This HEPA filter reduced the smell of the second hand smoke and it is very quick. I’m very pleased with this product and would highly recommend. ... show more

  • Does the job
I have 2 in one house and 3 in the house in Florida. The house in Florida took a hit from Ian. It is livable until insurance comes through but even with mold abatement there can be mold. I am allergic to it and when exposed I cough. ( I don’t need a fancy meter to tell me there is mold ). These purifiers do the trick to cleanse the air. Be aware that replacement filters are pricey ... show more
