This is an all around great A/C. We bought this during the winter to be prepared for this summer. I highly recommend that as soon as you get it, you check the bottom of the box for damage (we did not do that). When I installed it at the end of May, we found out that the bottom pan had been cracked and was leaking all the water out. Since it was to late to return to Amazon, I had to file a warranty claim with Honeywell. There are a few steps you have to go through, but Honeywell has a great customer service and within a few weeks we had a new A.C delivered. This A/C keeps my 500 sq-ft room nice and cool. When it is in the high 90's, the warmest it has gotten is 72 deg. in the room. By the morning the room is back down to around 63 deg. I will not buy any other brand, just because of how good it works and the great customer service you receive if you have a problem. ... show more

Super easy to setup. As soon as I turned it on ice cold air poured out. It cooled my front room in less than a half hour. I bought 2 different brands, with the same BTU's (14000). The Honeywell blew the other AC unit out of the water, it's 3x colder and has a stronger fan. Sent the other one back, and didn't need to buy another because this one is so strong. ... show more

In terms of cooling, yea it does the work well. Easy to setup. As simple as that. Some issues you should consider though: 1. Noise. It is loud and it has no auto mode to pause the cooling when temperature is met. 2. Water. The product provides no accessories to remove the water coming out of the unit, you will need to buy tubes or pan to catch the water, and you will need to clean the pan very often (4 times a day under big workload) ... show more

Remote control is horrible; I have to be on top of the ac for it to work and at that point i mine as well use the buttons on the ac Aside from that it’s a powerful ac and works great; some people were saying it’s loud but I feel it’s no worse then a regular window unit.

I have several cooling units in the house, we don't have central AC and the summers are getting hotter. I noticed that the inner Styrofoam had been cracked on arrival which worried me a bit since these items tend to be delicate to handle. I set up the system, turned on the unit, and it just sits there blowing air. The exhaust seems to engage from time to time. I have a feeling that either the thermostat is off, OR the coolant is messed up. DIsappointing since I could have picked up a cooling unit from Costco but chose to purchase this on Amazon. In the meanwhile its hot and returning the item and purchasing another unit is just going to prolong the agony. What a waste!! Trying to get on the phone with Amazon to return the item. ... show more

I will update this when I’ve had it for a longer time but for now, this is great and I am so happy I decided on this brand. I live in a high humidity area and when it’s hot… yuk. The dehumidifier mode is wonderful as it cools and pulls the moisture in an energy saving way. The noise is just like all the others so I have no complaints. I really love this unit. The machine shipped in a few days, set up in 5 minutes and it's cooling down our western facing 1000 Sq ft. middle floor now. It's a mild noise level (think motel as a kid on vacation.) Thd remote is cool but I probably won't use it. I saw comments about the window gasket not fitting well. I think people might be unfamiliar with these types of ACs. This one fits perfectly if your unit can be close to the window. I'd recommend the unit to anyone. Don't forget last year's heat wave. They sucked in Seattle!     • Window brackets aren't designed well

Can't quite speak to its cooling power yet but the bit I ran it seemed to put out a lot of cooling. The issue I have with it is how the brackets that go in the window are designed. The main bracket that holds the hose exhaust is significantly taller than the brackets used to expand it to fill the window. This means there are large gaps that prevent a good seal. They also don't include soft gaskets that improve the seal. This should have been obvious to them when they designed these things. I'll go to the hardware store and get what I need to fix it but I shouldn't have to. ... show more
