My life is basically a revolving door of laundry...not that I'm complaining! It's actually kind of relaxing. And while many things can easily be machine washed cold and tumble dried low, there will always be those hothouse flower type garments that need to be gently soaked in a mountain spring and allowed to dry freely in a cool summer breeze lest they shrink and shrivel into something unrecognizable. I may not have the winds at my command, but I do have this bad boy and two Honeywell fans that I can crank up to "high" and really, that's all I need. I have a bamboo accordion-style rack as well, but this one just holds SO much more (even shoes! Which I haven't actually tried out yet, but I love that the option is there!) I think the best part is the mesh sweater rack on the bottom because even in the heat of summer, I swear there's always at least one sweater insisting on being laid flat to dry and this rack can accommodate that! Also, it's nice to be able to hang my *mostly dry* garments off the sides so I can make way for the inevitable next batch of laundry... My only minor criticism is that over time the horizontal "wings" tend to sag a bit and I've had a couple of things made of slippery-ish fabric nearly slide off. Not a huge deal, imo, and definitely nothing that would deter me from using this rack or buying it again. And a definite pro: when they say it folds up quickly and easily, they mean it! Purchased two of these because they were so great - one for me and one for my parents after I told them how great it was. And how can a clothes drying rack be so great you might ask? Especially since it costs a little more than some other clothes racks that are cheaper? The first advantage of this is that it saves you electricity and helps the environment. You can put a small load of clothes on it to dry overnight and usually by the next day they are dry. This extends the life of the clothes as well, saving you even more money. They are also great if you dry a load and have some items that are still a little wet, just throw them on the rack. I even do it if I am in the rain - can put my shoes and coat on it to dry faster. I am in the military and is especially good for my uniform - my boots can dry if its wet and my uniform dries well overnight after washing it. Even better, since it is not beat up in the dryer I really don't have to inspect it for loose strings and tears that can make you look unprofessional in uniform. In addition, it is really good for dress clothes. I just wash them and then hang them on there to dry. My parents also like it because when they wash the dog bed, toys and leashes, they all dry well overnight on the rack. Why is it better than cheaper clothes racks? First, it really utilizes the space available on it very well. There is an area to put shoes, and area to put stuff in the center, and plenty of space to put stuff on the main racks. This is the second one I ordered because it is just so good. Takes up little space when folded but offers the ability to dry a large load of laundry. It feels sturdy and stable and I love that it has few plastic parts.

    • Dries clothes fast, but not for small spaces

I really liked the gullwing design of this drying rack, but it really is not good for small spaces. When I unfolded it, it was as big as my twin bed. I felt like there was so much wasted space in the design. I personally doesn't wash my shoes that often, so the shoe holders were basically useless. I ended up removing them and using it as another bar to dry my socks. The mesh was alright - good for sweaters, but I was worried that my heavy wool sweater would somehow stretch the mesh out. I liked the height of the rack, since I could even dry my pants and longer items by folding them in half over the bar. I gave it four stars, because it is a good rack, does it's job well, and has plenty of space to hang clothes. However, I took off one star because of the shoe drying section and how wide it is. If I were to buy another drying rack, I would probably just get a vertical drying rack, because it takes up less space. ... show more

I'm really glad I chose this drying rack. I wasn't a fan of the accordian style clothes racks - they seemed like they might be a little unstable or tip easily. I chose this one because of the size and because of the mesh area for flat drying as I do have some wool items I like to dry flat. I should note here that the mesh part is connected by velcro so you can easily remove it if you are not using it - which I do because I don't want my cat jumping on it or ruining it somehow. This rack can fit one really large load of laundry quite easily - and even more if you put your shirts on hangers and hang them around the outside of the rack like I do. This almost doubles the drying space. The only thing I am not really a fan of are the two shoe areas because I doubt i'll ever use those - or if ever - rarely. The rack folds up nice and flat and could be hung on a wall, slid behind a door, in a closet, under a bed - anywhere easily out of your way. It's also a nice sturdy weight so I feel it'd be ok to set outdoors for line drying as well as indoors. Though I wouldn't leave it outside as it MIGHT be prone to rust but I really don't know. It is made of metal not plastic or wood (which is a plus for me). It's perfect for me - not too big not too small and has all of the features I wanted. Good price too! ... show more

I love this thing! I know I’m old now because I’m excited by things like this! lol it’s incredibly sturdy when the bottom legs are spread out correctly. The other day I put a bundle of heavy wet denim on one of the ends while I hung them, there was nothing on the other end, and it didn’t tip even a bit. It has a small enough foot print to be able to use it on my balcony and then I can fold it up and store it next to my machine. I would look closely at the measurements when folded as it is kind of tall. It is so practical and I can hang so many garments on this in between using hangers and the poles on it. I’ve also used the flat area underneath for pillows and delicate sweaters. I haven’t used the shoe area yet, but it doesn’t take up useful space so I’m okay with it. It requires no assembly, but I did have to like push one of the little bottom poles in place, which I am sure is essential for it not to tip . I cannot recommend this enough! I’ve only been using for a month and will update later if I find any issues. My mom wants one now! ... show more
