While doing routine cleaning of the jets on the old carb, I dropped it and broke the float mounting ears. Uggggh! Looked at cheaper solutions but a high quality generator that performs flawlessly like this one, deserves the parts to keep it performing as it should. During the hurricane that left total carnage on the power lines as well as communication lines here in south western South Carolina, our EU3000is ran nonstop for 15 days straight. That kind of reliability deserves original equipment replacement parts. Installed the new carb and fired right up and purred like a kitten. No adjustment needed. Direct replacement fit for EU 3000 is. I don’t ever write reviews but due to the simplicity of this bolt on carburetor, I felt it was a necessary move to make. If you have any doubt, disregard it and make this purchase!

    • Don't forget to buy the gaskets
It works great, but doesn't come with gaskets. My gaskets were ruined, so I had to wait another several days for the gaskets to arrive. I tried an aftermarket carburetor first, and it was a nightmare. I finally gave up and got the OEM deal, and it was so simple. I have been fixing and rebuilding carbs for over 50 years. This one did me in. I rebuilt it 3 times and could never get my generator to run correctly. I bolted this in and it ran like it was new..... lesson learned....
