Its a Honda - starts right away, runs like a champ! The electric starter is great and worth every penny. I have a whole house hookup for this gennie and had to run it 4 1/2 days straight during a recent ice storm, without any problems.

    • Product description fuel type wrong!
Make sure to read and ask questions before buying. I was looking for a backup power generator that was fueled by electricity like solar, wind or pretty much a back up battery to charge my electric vehicle. Out off all the backup generators they all said fuel type gasoline except this one it said electric. Bought it and now I regret it. First it is fueled by gas, is Bluetooth controlled, had to be delivered by a truck that has the lift at the back so they can use a pallet jack to move it to the lift lower it to the ground. It is super heavy and would not recommend using it in any electric vehicle. Oh sure you can return it but it'll cost more to send back then what you paid to get it. So please read and research products before buying. Oh the product works great just super heavy, loud and uses gasoline. ... show more

This generator lives up to Honda's reputation of being the best manufacturer of small engines: it is extremely reliable, easy to operate and very quiet. The only downside is that its fuel consumption is rather higher than some other brands I've used - but I'd take its life expectancy (at least 5 times that of competitors) over fuel savings any time. I'll admit to having seriously mistreated some Hondas over the years, including dropping one from a helicopter - and they just keep working, every time. ... show more

    • Honda makes the best generators.
We haven't needed it for a prolonged time yet but I start it every month or so & hook a load up to it. It runs perfectly and I know it'll be there if needed. We had our panel wired so we can just plug this into the house & run selected items.
