  • Provides Safety
This Homland toilet seat insert was easy to assemble and install. It fits well in our elongated toilet. After several back surgeries, simple tasks became challenging. Having both a raised toilet seat and handles has made a huge difference in my daily routine. The unit locks in place, providing stability. It is easy to wipe clean. Most of all, it gives me independence, and peace of mind. I feel that this raised toilet is a reasonable value, as well as a safety asset. ... show more

  • Good solution to a need
This toilet seat is sturdy and a perfect solution for people who need a little assistance getting on and off the toilet. It takes a little patience putting it all together but it isn’t too bad. Check the dimensions of your toilet so you are sure It will fit properly because it doesn’t help if it’s too small or it doesn’t fit over a bidet you have. All in all, it’s a reasonable price point for something that gives a better quality of life. ... show more

  • Mobility aid that works well Mobility aid that works well
After my dad's stroke, I was worried about the ease of him using the toilet in their small bathroom. The HOMLAND Raised Toilet Seat arrived just in time for him to come home from rehab. The instructions for assembly were clear with great pictures. My son easily assembled it. It does require that the original toilet seat is removed so this can be placed directly on top of the toilet bowl. Once in place, the toilet seat is sturdy and secure. On a comfort height toilet, adding this raised toilet seat made it the perfect height. My dad had not issues using it. ... show more

  • Well made and easy to install
This Homland raised toilet seat with handles is going to work perfectly for my elderly parents. My parents are both in their mid 80's and are slowing down a bit. They have been spending more and more time with me and they find it hard to get up and down from the toilet. My mom had mentioned many times how it would be nice to have a higher toilet since her knees aren't working too well. I was thrilled to find this on Amazon. It not only is raised but it has handles to help get up and down, which is so helpful. This was easy to set up, you just have to remove the old seat and replace it with this one. I think it took my husband less than 15 minutes from beginning to end. It does raise the toilet seat by about 3 inches and the handles make it easier to get on and off. It seems really sturdy and well made. This product will make life just a little easier for my parents. I think this is a great product. ... show more

  • Simple assembly, quick installation, nice and sturdy Simple assembly, quick installation, nice and sturdy
To prepare for my grandma moving in with me, I needed something with handles that would work on my toilet. Unfortunately, the floor is slanted on one side from the shower, so I was really excited to see this HOMLAND Raised Toilet Seat with Handles that didn't need to sit on the floor. Assembly was literally a snap. The seat went together very easily, and it's very easy to adjust. Installation is as easy as replacing a toilet seat. It attaches using the existing toilet seat bolts (the toilet seat most be removed), then it's cinched to secure. The entire process takes just a couple of minutes. I was impressed with how sturdy it is. I was able to get it installed with no wobble at all. Unfortunately, my toilet is a comfort height, and with this seat it was a little too high for my grandma. It would be perfect on a normal height toilet. I highly recommend this raised toilet seat. I might actually use it for myself! ... show more

  • Height is nice, needs cleaning often
I got this to replace a "frame" type support that sits on the floor and surrounds the toilet bowl area. That one is really nice but it takes up more space than I like in what is a very small toilet room of my bathroom. Hubby and I both like having grab rails, but have realized lately that a raised seat is also nice. Replacing the toilet with a higher bowl isn't an option for now, so we've decided to give this a try. Installation is pretty straightforward. Remove old seat, do some cleaning because once you remove it you realize it's never as clean as you think it is. Once installed it feels very firm and stable. The two minor issues I have is that the opening is a little smaller than a typical toilet seat. So this means that it needs more cleaning on the surface, which so far has been multiple times a day wiping it down. What makes the extra cleaning a bit of an aggravation is that once this is installed it is NOT easily removable. It is installed as much as a regular toilet seat is, and that also isn't something you remove as needed and then return to its place. No ding for that, just wanted to clear that up. ... show more

  • Works well
HOMLAND Raised Toilet Seat with Handles,Handicap Toilet Seat Risers for Seniors, Elevated Toilet Seat Fits Most Toilet, Black There is minimal assembly needed for this toilet seat riser. Right out of the box I can hear something moving around inside of the seat portion, See anything that is damaged or broken on the outside. It’s fairly easy to put together, but while attaching the bars, it is very easy to pinch your fingers. Be careful because mine did get pinched and took a chunk out of my fingertip. After putting it together, you then attach it to your toilet seat, which requires you to remove your old seat. There are little rubber pads that you put on the bottom of the seat what comes into contact with your toilet. While the seat is about 4 inches high, after removing your original toilet seat, you end up with about 3 inches in height. The seat is comfortable and easy to fall onto when you can’t bend your leg very much. The handles are very helpful to have and I appreciate the fact that you can adjust the width of it for someone’s size because my toilets actually in a small space. ... show more

  • Fairly easy set up, but adds hieght if your short.
Raised toilet set vs the floor frame version. The raised set was fairly easy to set up and install. It adds heighth to the toilet, which isn't bad, but we alreay have the taller toilet. Little bit of an issue when you already have short legs. May need to have a small stool (one of those stools designed to fit around the toilet base) Kind of a pain if you need to clean underneath it since it almost needs to be completely remove, but easy to wipe the seat area with a disinfecting wipe. Previously, we were using a toilet safety rail setup. No install required, no removing seat, easyier cleaning. Between the two, I prefer the frame work. Kept the toilet as is, and was easy to move out of the way when company came and needed the bathroom. But if you have a smaller bathroom. the raised seat will probably work better. We had our house built with extra rooms for wheelchairs/walkers so I have a large bathroom & don't have to worry about space. ... show more
