So let me tell you...the first scooter I bought was a bodyMed scooter and it was absolutely awful!! I have bruises on my knee and shin from the knee "pad," it creeks like old stairs, and the turning radius it so tight it tends to tip over...which it ended up doing and I fell. So I got on Amazon to find another one and I chose this one. Man!!! Like night and day! This scooter's ride is super smooth, turning radius isn't too tight, and the knee pad is like a cloud! Love it! My husband twisted his ankle a few weeks ago while carrying storage bins down from the garage, and after two days on crutches he was already frustrated and exhausted. We ordered this knee scooter hoping it would make moving around the house easier while he healed. Setup took maybe fifteen minutes, and most of that was just adjusting the handle height and knee pad until it felt comfortable for him. The cushion on the knee rest is thicker than I expected, so it did not leave his leg sore after using it around the kitchen and hallway all day. The scooter rolls smoothly on our hardwood floors and turns easier than the older medical one his coworker let him borrow before this arrived. He also likes the little storage bag because now he can carry his phone, water bottle, and charger without asking me every five minutes. It folds down without much trouble too, which helped when we took it along for one of his follow up appointments. After using this for a while, he said he would pick this over crutches again without thinking twice.

Several years ago I came down with gout for the first time in my life. It was horrible, and was some of the worst pain I have ever felt. I ended up having to miss a couple of days of work since I was not able to walk, and walking was a big part of my job back then. Unfortunately, gout is something that can come back from time to time and it has come back multiple times on me. Since I am not really able to walk when gout hits, I had to come up with something that would keep me mobile even when only one of my feet was usable. One night after work I was talking to my neighbor about the gout and he suggested a knee scooter. I was unfamiliar with what a knee scooter was at the time so I did some research online. One of the first ones I saw was this Homland brand scooter. I read the full product description, almost all of the user reviews, and watched the videos that were on the product page. I was so surprised and also disappointed I had never seen one of these before. This was a perfect solution for me when my gout comes back. Opening the box, it is pretty clear that Homland made this knee scooter with the customer in mind. Instead of assembling the unit, it is more of a design that just needs to be unfolded and then just making a few adjustments so it is customized to the user’s height. The instructions are clear and detailed so this only takes a couple of minutes. This Homland knee scooter is a perfect alternative to using crutches, and will be able to keep my hurt foot as close to immobilized as possible. This Homland scooter can accommodate users that are under 300 pounds, and between 4’9” and 6’4” tall. This knee scooter is so easy to use. Simply bend your hurt leg, and put the knee on the soft pad. Use your good leg to propel you. Be sure to go no faster than you can walk for your safety. Good knee scooters can range from $200 to $500, so with this Homland scooter being less than $120, it is a fantastic value. The instructions are very detailed on how to fold and store your scooter in case you want to place in your car or truck and travel with it. Back in 2005 I had ruptured my Achilles. I spent many months in a cast, then a walking boot, and used crutches for a long time. I really could have benefitted with this scooter back then. This knee scooter feels much sturdier and higher quality than I expected. The frame feels solid with very little wobble while moving around, and I’d absolutely believe the 300-pound weight rating based on how stable it feels in use. The wheels glide smoothly across both hard floors and pavement, and steering feels responsive without being overly sensitive or twitchy. I feel sale using this. The comfort features are also surprisingly good. The knee pad is thick and supportive enough to stay comfortable during longer periods of use, and the handlebars and grips are nice to hold without causing hand fatigue. I also appreciated how adjustable everything is since it made it easy to quickly dial in a comfortable height and riding position. One of my favorite additions is the included storage bag on the front. Since both hands are occupied steering and braking most of the time, having a place to carry small items like a phone, charger, wallet, or water bottle is genuinely useful. The scooter also folds down fairly easily, which made it much easier to fit into the trunk of my car for transport or storage when not in use.
