  • It Might Work
Model: 2022B
I rarely write a review like this, but I have to say I don't know if this product works or not. First, it arrived in a small box (about 3x4"). In the bottom of the box was the instruction set. The instructions are printed so small, I had to scan them, so I could enlarge them on my screen to read them. The instructions are painfully bad. Not only do they not follow a stepwise pattern to enable using the product, but they are dotted with odd sayings like being able to put the GPS into an old man's pocket. There are no illustrations to show what size SIM card goes where in the device. There's nothing specific about activating a SIM, only that you need one. And there was something that indicated you could call the [SIM's] cell number (I guess), enter some number, and hear the conversation going on around the GPS. Or maybe? Also, I couldn't figure out if there was some sort of storage that records sounds -- does that mean a mini SD card slot? I thought that was for the SIM? Confusion. My sincere recommendation is that the manufacturer, or seller, create a very clear set of instructions, for an English-speaking customer; and list the steps to set it up, test it out, and the various functions that [at least I think it has some] can be activated remotely. Frustrated after an hour, I packed it up returning it; since I can't figure out if it works or not. These days, if you don't have clear instructions that can get a device like this activated in minutes, you don't have a viable product. For those looking, find one from another manufacturer, and see if you can download the manual or instructions first -- to see if they make sense to you. ... show more

  • Good Product - Good Price
I placed the soft removable cradle insert inside the mesh compartment and slipped the GPS in there. That way the GPS is very well padded and snugly secure. It doesn't fall out when you open the case. My bulky power cord (Nuvi1390LMT) fits in the open compartment and shouldn't fall out if you open the case like a book. There's some room to spare in that open compartment, but I don't know about fitting the windshield mount in there. I keep the mount in my car's armrest compartment as it isn't damaged by extreme hot or cold weather. Perhaps if you take the mount apart and/or discard the soft insert it would fit in the case, but I wouldn't compromise GPS protection to fit the mount in my case. I really wanted a Lowepro NaviShield, but they don't make the 4.3" one anymore. Lowepro's thought process, engineering and build quality are superior -- for a higher price -- but you won't fit a windshield mount in that one either. Bottom Line: For the price and 5 seconds it took to move the soft insert to the other side, this case is a great value. It's a good looking, excellent protector and holder for a 4.3" GPS and cord. ... show more

  • Buy Something Else And Here Is Why
What it is: A big case that will fit a GPS unit and some cords. What it is not: Well designed to avoid damage to any GPS unit. Why: The padded insert, which by "design" is where the GPS unit is supposed to go has a rounded contour, yet it's supposed to secure a flat object. The unit (Garmin 1390) will not fit safely and securely without case modification. The GPS is NOT supposed to go into the top pouch with the mesh screen. If you put it there it moves insecurely around and easily pops out when you open the case. The same goes if you reverse the procedure and put the GPS on the bottom with the cords on top. I've seen how somebody tried to rig the case to accommodate the suction cup mount but it does NOT hold the unit securely when you jam everything inside. Jamming also poses damage risk which after all, is what the case is supposed to protect against. Since returning a cheap item like this is more hassle than it's worth, I did the following to allow for some functionality: 1) Removed bottom rounded "protection" insert and placed it in the top of the case behind the mesh. 2) Put the GPS face down into the top of the case (now held by the mesh and protected by the insert) 3) Put the cords on the bottom 4) Forget about SAFELY putting the unit's mounting bracket in the case. The last thing I want from a protective case is to worry about the ability to protect the GPS. Save yourself the time, buy another case. P.S. I also own a 1490 where I use a small "Case Logic" case for the GPS unit, and place the cords and mount loosely in my glove box. It's easy to just remove a small case with the GPS from the car when needed. ... show more

  • Nice Little Case
Ok, I've been looking for a case to fit my Nuvii GPS 4"+ screen. The issue has always been the window mount not being able to fit into any of the cases with out the case being the size of a small suit case. Anyway, I haven't searched for another case for a few months and finally got around to searching and found this case and one reviewer (see pictures) who was able to stuff the window mount into the case. This does indeed fit. First thing you should do is toss the GPS holder that comes with the case, it's specific to a certain GPS model and takes up a lot off room. Then put your gps in there and place the power cord folded neatly into the mesh section. Slide the gps over to one side and also do the same with the power cord and place the mount inside with the suction part all the way to the open side, zip it up and that should close and fit nicely. The case itself is very nice and well put together quality case. I'm pretty happy that I finally found a nice case that can hold my GPS and accessories in a nice neat case. I rated this 5 stars and it's worth the price. ... show more

  • Feel scammed
Model: 2022B
I was highly disappointed with the fact that this device is supposed to be used with an app but when I attempted to download the app on my Android it said that it used an older version and my phone was not compatible so I attempted to use another phone also an Android as well as two different laptops to download this app and they all stated the same thing. So in other words I have a device that I'm unable to use. ... show more
