This is what Xmas smells like at least to me. I have it in my office and you can smell down the hall. It doesn’t burn too quick and the smell isn’t overwhelming.

    • This is my favorite scent - so gentle and fresh!
I hope the manufacturer will see this review and restart making and selling this scent and in this size (Beach Cottage, 7.5oz), I wish I have purchased a dozen only if I knew they would discontinue.

    • Stinks (literally, and figuratively)
I purchased four of these candles, without ever having tried them before because I was really enthusiastic over having a New Jersey themed candle and beach cottage as gifts for visiting out-of-state friends. (The scents are not to my liking, but since I purchased them sight, unseen, or rather smell unsmelled, I won’t review that so much as the other points). Out of the four candles I purchased, one was missing a label entirely, one had a label that was so wrinkled it looked like someone had put it on in the dark. However, I was stuck because I really needed to give these as gifts the day after they arrived. I improvised and used a cute locally designed NJ sticker for the candle with no label and just kept the one that was messed up Substituting it for another one I purchased. However, I did follow up with customer service. The links through Amazon lead me to the “homesick“ customer service page. I got no response for two weeks. I followed up with a second email to homesick (and remember, this is a quality control issue that you would think they would be interested in) and here is the email that I got, copy and pasted: “ hope all is well. I wanted to try this brand without spending too much so I bought this mini cancel in the scent let’s toast. It burned pretty smoothly and evenly. It had great throw! Although I didn’t like this particular scent, I was impressed. So I purchased a larger candle in “Mississippi” scent. It has no throw. You can’t even smell it unless you stick your nose it. So I won’t be purchasing a large size from this brand again. I may try another small candle like this one if I can find a scent description I think I’ll like. I didn’t like this one cause it had the champagne sweet smell under the fruit smell (which is in the description but I was hoping it wouldn’t bother me). I saw other reviews mention a crooked label and some wax on the top of the glass and that’s exactly what I got. The front label has decent size air bubbles stuck under it and the back label is on crooked. The inside top of the glass is smudged with wax and so was the outside of the lid. I cleaned it up myself to look presentable because obviously these kind of candles are meant to be gifts. For a brand that was promoted over and over again as ‘great gifts’ these almost seem like a knock off or a lack of quality control. I wouldn’t recommend for above reasons. Smells good enough but again what am I paying for if it’s a mess when you get it. ... show more
