Can't say enough good things about this couch. I moved into a new place and was couch-shopping both locally and on the internet. I found a couple of things that were less expensive than this one but I kept gravitating toward this couch because I was willing to pay a bit more for an item with moving parts in order to ensure better quality. I am extremely pleased with the choice I made. The faux leather is of good quality, the color is truly espresso, and assembly took all of 2 minutes without any tools. The back comes in 5 different pieces. Three are back rests as you can see in the picture of the product, and two are the vertical rests that flank the left and right back cushion. All of the back cushions slide into either a prong protruding from the sofa seat and the vertical parts slide into the cushions. It is a bit heavy and I had to drag it on the carpet but it wasn't too bad. If you have wood floors it'll be even easier to drag it. Both outer seats recline almost 180 degrees. You can easily lie down. And the reclining mechanism feels sturdy and solidly built. If you are very tall (I'm a bit under 5 9") you may think that the sofa isn't big enough in its depth. But it is extremely comfortable and I spent more time on my butt this weekend than I would have liked. Shipping was a bit slow but now that I have the sofa at home, I'm willing to forgive and forget about slow shipping. The driver was courteous and brought the entire box (only one box) on a dolley inside my front door into the living room. That was nice. The box fit through a conventional 36" doorway. If you are on the fence about this sofa, GO FOR IT! You won't regret it. ... show more

We were looking for an inexpensive couch to go in a downstairs TV room that my teenagers use. We have a reclining love seat that looks similar to this so we decided to get the couch to provide more seating. I was a bit hesitant because of the reviews on the terrible delivery but the price was right, it was on sale at the time, and it was close in appearance to the couch we had. We ordered the couch on Dec. 24th and it was delivered Jan. 2. The delivery company called 4 days prior and gave me a choice of days, they said it would be delivered between 10-4 on the day I chose. The couch came at 12pm even though the weather was snowy. The packing was not very good, very flimsy cardboard wrapped around it and taped and many tears in the cardboard. It looked damaged but when I opened it up it was in perfect condition. It was very easy to put together and looks just as it is pictured. It does't really look like real leather, as bonded leather is mostly synthetic material but it is perfect for the price and our needs. Its already covered in chip crumbs and I don't have to worry about it getting ruined yet it looks great in the room. Its is pretty comfortable and the boys were already reclined and playing video games. I will have to re-review when i see how the couch wears. I am just so pleased that it arrived and that it looks good. ... show more

Please do not buy this until you have read this review. So I read all the raving reviews and decided to buy this. BIG Mistake ! The material feels good, the assembly was super easy, although that also means that it is super flimsy, the 2 sides on the back rests can pop off very easily. When in recliner mode, you can almost go flat, so a very good resting, actually sleeping position, you can even take a nap on your side. BUT this is where the product FAILS... Normal seat height of a recliner is between 14-16 Inches from the ground. Even if you are 5' tall, this will give you a stance where you have your feel flat on the ground, and you fall back into the recliner. Secondly the seat depth is around 24-26 inches in a normal recliner, what this does is gives you enough space to scoot in or out of the back of the chair, so you can find a comfortable position. Then it is the Angle of the back as compared to the seat, "Recliners" as the name goes usually have a 110 to 115 degree angle. This lets you recline even if you dont pull out the leg rests. NOW this recliner has these dimensions: The Height of the seat is 19"-21", I am 5' 8". my feet do not touch the ground.. WTF? If I want my feet on the ground, I have to sit straight, defeats the Recliner concept. The Depth of the seat is also 20" The Angle of the back to the seat is 105-110 Degrees. ALL of these dimensions make this a very uncomfortable "Recliner NOT" I sat in this for 2 hours, and my back started to hurt, because I was not relaxed at all Returning this. The saving grace is that as I am a prime member, I dont have to repack this, the moving company will pick it up themselves. So folks, IMO, this is a big BUST...Not comfortable at all ... show more
