Worth a try for my energetic cat
Size: 3XL
Color: Natural Wood
I just bought and assembled the 3XL, after reading that the inner diameter should be two times your cat's body length and you should subtract 6-9 inches for the frame from the listed diameter to get the inner diameter. It is very important for your cat's health to get a big enough size, and the inner diameter should be easier to find. The frame width for mine I measured as 2.75 in and the inner diameter a little over 53.5 in. My cat is 22 inches not including tail, so this is a good size. I'm happy with the quality. The size is about 5 by 5 by 1 feet. I'm lucky I have a big room now because not every room could be large enough for this one. Assembly took me a couple days because it was pretty overwhelming to start with. I was working by myself with no power tool, and it was possible, but I had to be creative to hold pieces in place while attaching them and took a lot of breaks. I recommend using their video on YouTube and a power tool for all the screws or at least grippier gloves than they give you to screw them all the way in. It's also best to put rugs or towels under it to avoid minor scratches on the smooth wood surface. My cat is energetic and bold, so I thought it was worth a try. However, as a cat, he doesn't inherently know what a treadmill is or what to do on the wheel. For the past couple days, I praise him and give him treats for going on it. I hold the treats a little in front to get him to walk before giving them to him, and am gradually increasing the amount he should walk. The training process makes snack time more fun, and he is making good progress. I will update in some time on if he can eventually use it. So far I am happy with this purchase. It could be a great option for him when I'm at work, and it was a good option to give him more stimulation whether he eventually uses it or not. UPDATE after 5 months: He loves it! It only took a week to teach him to use it, and it changed his life and made him a happier cat. My other kitten picked it up just by watching the first cat. Me and my cats love this wheel! The only con is the screws that secure the reinforcement blocks can fall out (about 1-2 screws a month out of 24 total), and I have to find them and screw them back in. It isn't hard to do, but the design should have the reinforcement screws going all the way through the boards and secured at both sides. UPDATE after 1 year: More good things to say! I was able to disassemble the wheel into three pieces and reassemble it for moving easily. After reassembling and re-screwing-in the reinforcement screws as tightly as possible, they have fallen out much less frequently. Both my cats still get a lot of exercise and enrichment from their wheel every day!

One of our cats took to it immediately
Size: XL
Color: Black
It took me more than three hours to assemble, but I'm a senior female and in no hurry. I did not use a power driver because I'm not skilled with it and it's heavy for me. I found that the little screwdriver that came with the kit was quite okay for the task, but of course much slower. I used a ratcheting screwdriver for the last few turns. Use the gloves that come with the kit or you will get a blister (Yes, I have evidence of this.). There are 115 screws to install (Plenty of extras were provided). It was a little challenging, but for me it's like a puzzle, especially when the instructions are less than wonderful and printed teeny. My husband offered to help but I shooed him away. I had a little uncertainty about which screws went where, but the information is there if you're willing to dig it out of the fine print and divergent English. Also, it's all logically designed and properly engineered to line up. The parts list omits the nuts that were provided for the underside of the long screws, but there wasn't any other place to put them, and they're pictured, sort of, with the rather cryptic wording. Basically, you use them with the wide part down against the wood. They provided a little wrench to hold them. If you overtighten anything both the plastic anchors for the wood screws as well as the metal seats for the machine screws will start to turn and they might not hold as well if that happens. This is another reason not to use a power tool. My efforts were rewarded when one of our three cats took to it immediately. The kittens are about six months old, and the little calico, who is usually bold and adventurous, was reluctant to stay in it when it started to turn, but she watched the orange boy with interest and will probably come around later. I enticed them into it with a laser pointer. The boy kitty kept using the wheel after I put the pointer away. Our third cat is elderly and off snoozing somewhere. She hasn't seen the wheel yet. I will update later if there are new developments, but so far this has been worth the price and effort. This thing is surprisingly sturdy and quiet. I'm quite pleased with it overall. The only challenge I foresee is keeping the young grandchildren away from it. I plan to hide it when they visit. I wouldn't expect the wheels to support the weight of a child, but under normal use, I think it will be fine. Editing a few days later to say that the reluctant kitty is now the main user of the wheel. Editing months later to mention that our big boy is back to using it. For several months none of them used it, and I was thinking of giving up, but as my daughter said, "He looked in the mirror and was like, I gotta do something about this." I would encourage people to use a laser pointer or a toy on a string to encourage cats to use the wheel. They like it when they associate it with fun. Catnip sprinkled on it is also helpful. BTW, the inner dimension of this wheel is about 39" /99 cm.. The title reflects the overall height, which is meaningless in terms of function. Our tom is a large cat now, and he's okay with it. The other two cats don't use it at all, but the young female will sit and watch her buddy use it. Possibly they each believe they are entitled to their own private wheel, but that's not happening. 😿 Editing after a year and a half to say that the wheel is still in great shape and the big orange cat is usually the only one who uses it, but he uses it almost every day and sometimes multiple times. If you are considering whether to buy one, I would say this has been worth the money. I think our guy, who is 15 pounds and all lean, would do better in a bigger wheel, He usually doesn't run but just marches along in it at a steady pace. One more thing worth noting: When complete it is in two parts that are easy for this little old lady to move from room to room.

Great Cat Wheel
Size: XL
Color: Black
My cats love this treadmill. They use it every day. It is a lot of work putting it together. You need a battery powered screw-gun (drill). Set the "brake" to gently seat the screws. There are a ton of screws and many wood parts to assemble. Its BIG. You need space for it. The only reason I give it 4 stars instead kf 5, is that its nosiy. It kind of roars as they run on it. Not crazy loud, but not quiet at all. It had a lock so you can keep it quiet while you sleep. But overall its worth the price. Other wheels cost more and are smaller. You want a big diameter wheel so it does not hurt their back as the they run on it. Buy this one. Its been great for my cats. I used a lazer pointer to train them to run on it. It takes awhile for your cat to get used to it. Once they do, they love it.

Excellent cat toy for my rambunctious duo..
Size: XXL
Color: Natural Wood
Solid, sturdy & my cats love it! Well worth the money paid. Here are some pointers if you are considering purchasing: Assembly is pretty easy for me, nothing harder than IKEA furniture. Using a power drill/driver makes it easier but be careful not to over tighten & make sure pre drilled holes line up. As soon as I opened the box, I laid out the carpeting portion on the floor to flatten it out and then sprinkled catnip all over it. The cats were playing on the carpeted portion while I was doing assembly… I think that really helped in training them to use the wheel. Follow the directions and take your time, it isn’t terribly hard. I have the base of the wheel set on tile, you may have to experiment to place it on a tile floor because sometimes tile will cause the base to be wobbly. You can use felt for leveling or find a different spot on the floor where you can put the base where it doesn’t rock. Once I finished assembly, I was pleasantly surprised at how smooth the wheel turns. I think it is relatively quiet when it turns but I do hear it when my cats are using it at night. A lot of other people have commented about the carpet surface. I think it works great and my cats love to claw and pounce on it. It is held in place by Velcro. My cats like to run on the wheel and then stop and they use their claws to hang on so if you had any reservations about cat claws catching the carpeting, I would say not to worry about that. (I try to remember to trim my cats nails from time to time.) The wheel stops spinning rather quickly if the cat stops walking or running. There is a little motion back & forth, but not that bad at all and the cats seem to handle it just fine. When training your cats give them time. My cats are three years old and are very treat motivated. I use the Friskies tuna temptations. I used Post-it notes and cut a little slit in the paper to fit treats in, then I used some packing tape to paste the Post-it notes around the circle. Sometimes I would put treats in only a few of the papers, but the cats were figuring out how to turn the wheel to get the treats. Once they figured that out, they have started doing it just for fun now. At first they were walking then they started jogging and now I have a little one that crouches low and puts her ears back and tries to go really fast and jumps to get started, it is the cutest thing! They both are taking to it quite well in a very short time. I would imagine an older cats might take a little longer. Don’t give up on them. This is a great item to have and it keeps them busy! My two litter mates are always trying to pick on each other so the wheel is helping to curb those behaviors.

Excellent quality. Happy I made the purchase
Size: XL
Color: Natural Wood
I laugh when I read how hard it is to put together and how difficult the instructions were to read. It was hard to assemble in the fact it took a looooong time to screw all the planks to the frame. Otherwise, very easy. While the instructions were mostly pictures, there was nothing hard to understand and all the pieces were marked very clearly. Some ppl complained it’s too loud…..noooot really. Does it make noise, yes. So does anything with motion to some degree or another. Is it EXTREMELY loud….no. My cat is afraid of her own shadow. But not this wheel. I use lots of encouragement, favorite toys and cat churro tubes (crack for cats) to encourage my cat to try. So far, she is doing well with all that. Hopefully, she will start using it soon on her own. She does like to try jumping onto the top, which the wheel quickly throws her to the ground. So I will definitely be locking it when I am not around, until she stops trying. Today is day 2. The video is from today

Looks great, noise is there but not too too loud, can be annoying during quiet talking movies. Cat's love it! Assembly not too difficult. Great size!

Good quality but very loud
I really wanted to like this cat wheel. My cat currently use the OneFastCat wheel, which is obnoxiously big and wobbly. This homegroove size medium cat wheel is indeed smaller, and much more sturdy (not wobbly like OneFastCat). But it is very loud when the cats are on it. Compared to the OneFastCat wheel the medium is definitely a lot smaller unfortunately it’s just too small for Bengal cats especially ones that are used to the size of the OneFastCat wheel. One other thing to consider it’s not that easy to put together. The instructions were awful, but fortunately I did find a YouTube video that was super helpful.

great, but LOUD
Size: XL
Color: Natural Wood
it’s a great size and my cats love it. one of my cats is on the larger side and still fits in it well. it didn’t take them long to get used to using it and it’s held up great with a lot of use. however, it’s LOUD. like, really loud. it’s good it comes with a lock, because you might want to lock it at night to not keep yourself (or your neighbors) awake. i tend not to lock it because i feel bad when my cat tries to sprint on it and it doesn’t go anywhere, but it’s a good option to have. my cats definitely like it, we’ve even seen one of them run fast enough to spin her in a full loop when she stopped!
