The 3 areas which create the vibration are hard, and the lower one is positioned against the spine. If you are on your back, it can create pressure wounds after a couple of hours. This pad needs to be removed after each use if you plan on using it being on your back or in a deeply reclined chair. The interrupted mode of operation creates a percussion movement seems effective in shaking loose the mucus stuck in the lungs. It is much gentler / less powerful then a smartvest (see smartvest.com) but for me it is effective. Oxygen level went up by 5% in two minutes - hard to believe effect from such a low cost device.

I ordered the Homedics Vibration Heated Shoulder massager Wrap on Aug, 11, 2024. The package arrived today, Aug 12, 2024. I could not be happier with it. It is super simple to set up, takes no time at all to get used to it. It has 3 intensity settings and two modes of operation. 1 is constant vibration, the other is a thumping rhythm. I set it to intensity 3, and used the thumping rhythm. I died and went to heaven. This product is exactly as advertised and demonstrated in the video. I could not be happier, and I highly recommend this for neck, shoulder, and upper back pain. (I don't often give recommendations, so you know this has to be good).

This is really nice - so nice that I wear it a LOT. The heat is very nice, especially on my arthritic shoulders (although you will occasionally here a little tick sound as the thermal regulator turns it on and off). As mentioned in another review, the vibrators on the back are hard - but unlike the ones in my chair, they are enclosed in a flat package maybe 1/2 inch thick, and work fine if you aren't actually laying on them (though it would have been nice if the "tail" of the wrap had been a little wider with 2 vibrators on either side of your spine). It works best in a chair (the manual advises not to use it in a bed), but when not sitting the weights in the hem of the wrap pulls it down more on your shoulders. It's not a vigorous effect, but it's noticeable enough.

The heated shoulder massager is great, but the cord began to crack and fray shortly after we received it. We tried to secure a new cod from home medics, but their customer service directed us to purchase a cord from eBay, when they should have just sent us a new cord. The new cord operated the massager, but there was no heat. Amazon graciously accepted the return, and we don't recommend the purchase of any products from Home Medics.

My bedridden spouse is truly loving this thing. The problem with most massagers is they hurt. Spouse is able to lay comfortably on it and the controls are in an easy place for him to reach.

Works great just as described, my husband loves it. He had had torn rotator cuffs in both shoulders and still has alot pain in them. Also he has 8 to 12 protroduding and something disk in his neck and back and it helps with the pain in them too. NO it doesn't take away all the pain nor did we think it would. Just want ro make that clear. It does help to make his pain more tolerable. Thank you

I bought this as a replacement for a different brand that I had for quite a few years. This one works just as well. The noise from the vibration is a little louder than my old one, but not overwhelming. Very easy to use. It shuts off by itself after 30 minutes. I would recommend it.
