I love this little pantry! Holds a lot more than I thought it would! I have a very small kitchen and no pantry so was looking for something that would fit a very small space and this fit perfectly! It’s pretty sturdy and takes up very little room. Just what I needed! My fiancé put it together and made sure to anchor it to the wall because I have a grandbaby who is walking and getting into everything. Wouldn’t want it falling on her. He said the directions could have been better and it did take him half of an afternoon to put it together. May not take as long if you aren’t a perfectionist. He cut out the chair rail so it would be flush to the wall and caulked the seam. Also he put wood glue between each piece for added strength. We changed out the ugly wood knobs with brushed silver. Makes a world of difference. I will also paint the top piece white. Trying to get away from dark wood. ... show more

I am going to rate this based on it being a piece of furniture at this price point, not a $500 or $800 cabinet. This is a great product!! It’s made well and I expect it to last a long time. The cabinet was packed with a lot of foam, so nothing got damaged during shipping. It was easy to assemble, but assembly took about two hours. Dowel Holes - If you see a dowl hole, put some wood glue or construction adhesive in the hole, doing so should make the cabinet stronger and make it last longer. Not necessary, but a good practice when you are putting furniture together. Upgrades – the only upgrade I would recommend for this cabinet would be for them to put a 3rd screw for the door hinges. The wood handles are nice, but I am going to replace them with some nice metal ones from home depot. They are in the photo I shared. It would be nice if they offered an option for a white top, versus the wood one that came with it. ... show more

    • Looks good with no problems assembling
I had no trouble assembling this. It took me about three hours, and after reading the reviews, I took my time so I didn’t mess it up. The box was badly beat up by UPS but all the pieces were there and nothing was damaged. I was able to do most of it alone. I did have to have a second person to help me hold the upper right door when I attached it, because I couldn’t hold it and screw in the hinges. But the pre-drilled holes made it easy to get the screws in with minimal effort. I don’t like power screwdrivers because they tend to strip the screws (probably user error!) but I used a regular Phillips screwdriver and had no trouble. Even the large quantity on the back of the unit. I goofed up the upper back panels and put them on upside down. When I realized my mistake, I decided it didn’t matter enough to fix. The only complaint I have is that it is kind of flimsy. Apparently at this price point, that’s the way it goes. But it gives a lot of storage and it looks nice. ... show more

    • Hall bath storage solution
This is in our hall bath. No closet in there and needed storage. Holds a supply of bath towels, hand towels, washcloths, TP, Kleenex and toiletries for guests along with a small medical needs supply. Thinks bandaids, flu meds, aspirin and the like. Even has room for our hair clipper kit and a couple other items. Very pleased with how much it holds for the footprint. ... show more

    • It COULD be so much better!
After looking all over the internet, I settled on this product. My small, winter home lacks greatly in kitchen storage, and I purchased this and the smaller 30x40 cabinet. I needed 12" depth max, and most similar products are 15-18" deep. Both arrived yesterday, and today we tackled the tall one. The wood composite material is 1/2" thick and lightweight, unlike typical MDF. All holes were well marked, parts well labeled. While it went together OK, there are SO many things that would take the cabinet from pretty good to excellent. First, the wood dowels are way too thin for the holes! {Why not drill the holes the proper diameter for a snug fit?) We purchased wood glue for one end of dowels, and allowed it to partly thicken, then attached the next part. Same with the holes for the cams... too large. They should fit more snugly. We have done lots of DIY furniture over many years, and this problem is a first. Yes there is a smell from the paint. Not awful, but noticeable. Kind of like a combo of new car smell + light chemicals. I am airing the cabinet and will wipe it down in a couple of days. My big gripe is after carefully assembling this well planned product, THE DOORS DO NOT CLOSE WITHOUT RUBBING. What??? Everything else fit, it is straight and plumb, but for the four doors. The hinges have no adjustment. Why not charge a bit more for adjustable hinges that work? This is dumb. Hardware is critical. I see other new reviews also complain about the doors. We may remove the hinges and drill out to enlarge some holes to allow for a bit of sliding. Or we may attempt to shim the front sides to try and widen a little. Right new annoyance and frustration are brewing. Bottom line: The cabinet is really cute, it will hold lots of stuff in a small footprint, the smell will dissipate. But every engineer that participated in the design should be forced to live with those stupid fixed hinges and too large doors in their own homes. No complaints about packaging or the seller. UPDATE 1/28/21: Using a Dremel tool, we enlarged the hinge holes on the doors. This permitted pushing the hinge tightly against the 'notch' on the door that is made for the hinge. (The pilot holes by the mfg align with the door edge and NOT with the notch! The doors now operate. We also replaced the wood knobs with satin nickel pulls.
