Its very shaggy. It feels great to step on. However, after vacuuming we noticed the fabric of the carpet being sucked up. Make sure to use your vacuum on low or change the settings before vacuuming this carpet.

The first clue that this rug would not be high quality should've been the price. The second clue should've been that it came folded up in about a 2x2 foot square. The third should've been the texture (that slimy feeling, smooth hair type rug - NOT a thick woven shag). But since none of those red flags stopped me from putting it down - I'll tell you again that it's not worth the money. It feels like a heavy blanket, not a rug. It also does not lay flat. Those folds will be here to stay for quite some time because it does not weigh enough to flatten itself. The ONLY reason I'm keeping this rug is because it's for my Labrador. We keep a rug for him to play on since our floors are all solid and he slips and slides on them. But that's about all it's suitable for.

So, right out of the box I started to have my doubts, but ignored them. This rug is soft, but not very well made. It started shedding a tad, but still looked fairly good. We have a puppy and I didn't want to have an expensive rug down until he was older. The shag, however? It's VERY high. Like probably 3 inches. That makes it impossible to vacuum. We learned super quickly that it was hard to clean. And also? Felt like grass to our puppy. Which ended up being a disaster, and again..... extremely hard to clean. I found myself using a rake to get everything out of the carpet, and our Roomba was unusable. After 2 weeks? It looked shabby, and probably had a huge build up of dust and grime due to our inability to vacuum. I admitted defeat and ordered a washable rug instead. This rug? It's lovely in pics, and would probably be ok in a very lightly used room. But for an active family with pets? A definite no go. I had read several reviews stating this, and should have listened.

I was very nervous when I saw the rug folded in a box. And even more nervous when I opened it up. This is not a normal rug. Its base is like a thin memory foam and the shag feels like a soft long haired cat. This is the weirdest rug I’ve ever seen yet it’s the neatest rug I’ve ever seen. My son loves its softness and likes to lay and play on it. I have dogs and cats and they also love laying on it and they wrestle on it and surprisingly it’s holding up. It did take several days to flatten out. My only complaint is I ordered a 12x15 and it’s not one full piece. It’s 2 rugs with a seam down the middle. The pattern does camouflage it tho. Overall, I do recommend this rug

This rug is terrible! I have to vacuum every single day and still clumps are tracked all over the house daily. I expected maybe for the first couple days there would be a few pieces because it was new, but I have had it for weeks and every day is a battle. Very poorly made! Very disappointed in this product and the money I put into it. I received a replacement rug, just like the one I had. It is much better quality, it is not shedding at all! Very pleased with this rug and the manufactures response and replacement! Would order from them again! Update: I was sent a replacement rug but the stuff that gets tracked in the rug i can't vacuum it out. I have bought shaggy rug attachments and other items to try to clean this rug and it is impossible to keep clean.
