As soon as this came I used it right away. By the next morning, it ended up with a couple muddy dog prints on it. I didn’t want to have to wash it already so I used a store brand carpet cleaner spray and it came up right away. I’ve also used a bit of soap and water and cleaned just as well also. It’s a pretty thin rug so if you’re looking for something plush, you might need to use some padding underneath. But for us it’s perfect because pets don’t care what they do do the rugs and I don’t have to worry about throwing it in the washing machine for every little mess. It comes up super easily since it doesn’t absorb into layers of fibers and padding. It stays EXACTLY where I put it. I can’t begin to count how many times I’ve woke up in the morning just to find a large area rug rolled up, slid 5 feet away from its original space or even in a completely different room. I’m not sure what our cats and dogs do while we’re sleeping but at least I now know I’ll wake up to this rug exactly where it was the night before. ... show more

Very nice rug for the price. It did come folded so it was a little hard to get the creases out but overall it’s a good quality rug.

I would not credit this as being a rug. I prefer to call it a floor covering. There is no plushness to this covering. It is large in size and covers a nice amount of the floor, but it definitely shouldn't be classified as a rug. This is great if you don't want to sit directly on the floor, or if you want to add decor to your space. It's not warm. It's not thick and it's not inviting. 2 out of 5 is the mark that I give this product. I do not recommend this product if you're looking for an actual rug. ... show more

This area rug is very nice. I ordered the 6x9 one in gray and I am very pleased with it. It can go with many design styles and spaces. I placed mine under my queen size bed to have warmth and comfort to step onto from the bed. It seems very well made and good quality. It adds insulation and makes the space feel complete. It’s simple color and design makes it very versatile. It comes folded and can be refolded for storage if needed. It says it is machine washable. I love washable rugs and I'm getting used to trade off for washability with thinness. This rug is nice and the edging is reinforced which gives me confidence that it is not going to fray and retain it's edges. I must also point out the backing on this rug that has a very good, thick and dense grip material that will keep this piece in place without sliding all over the floor. Of all the washable rugs I own, this one by far has the best non-slip backing. The one star removal is for the color of the rug that my pictures still don't really capture. This color is a nice grey with grey blue tones but it leans a bit to much towards the blue end of the spectrum for my taste. I have neutral greys throughout my house and the blue tinting and tones do not make for a good match. While I like the quality of the rug and the overall functionality, it leans towards blue-grey if you are trying to color match. ... show more

I recently ordered the HOMBYS 6x9 Modern Area Rug for my dining room in my small New York apartment, and it fits perfectly! This is my first experience with Homby's home goods, and I'm impressed. The rug is well-crafted not too Upper East Side heavy, but not too flimsy and exactly matches the product photos on the website. The practical non-slip backing is a nice bonus, eliminating the need for extra backing sheets. While I haven't tested its machine washability yet, it's a feature I appreciate, although I'll need to find a large enough washing machine for this size of a carpet. I like this carpet. The blues are vibrant. The carpet material is very heavy, but thin. There's basically no pile to the carpet. It looks like it will take a beating. The backing is rubbery, not coarse like regular carpet. This rug is very thin, which I wasn't expecting. I thought perhaps it would be at least as thick as a couple of my other 'washable' style area rugs. The color is pretty, but because it is so thin when the fibers get pushed around it makes it look like there's a bare/worn spot. It also doesn't stay put on the floor, so I will need to get some rug grippers to keep it in place, and likely a backing padding to make it a bit more practical for use.
