It is thin but it has to be in order to be washable. I have not had to launder the rug yet and will update my review if I have any issues but so far I really like this rug. Everyone likes to rub their feet on it, it is soooooo soft.

I definitely didn't realize this was a printed rug so it's definitely different but I really do love it! It's so soft and lightweight! It is thin but you can hardly tell because of how soft it is.     • So pretty but wrinkles
This rug is beautiful, and the texture is super soft and nice to walk on, however, the wrinkles from being folded will not come out and it wrinkles up under furniture if you look at it.

    • Nice rug.
Some say these rugs are too thin, but I find them just about right. The colors are strong and don't fade. They are well made, and you can machine wash them. Id much rather have a clean thin rug than a dirty thick rug that requires professional cleaning. These are a good value.

I go this rug to cover an area under a rocking chair for my mother, so she doesn't have to have her feet on my hard flooring while she is resting in her rocking chair. I've never seen a printed rug before so it was a little weird at first, but it is so soft! (a normal rug uses fibers that are the color you want in the pattern or image, a printed rug uses all white fibers and then the image or pattern is printed on to the rug, AFAIK) The rug is very short threaded and could easily be used under a desk chair without hampering the wheels. The bottom has gripping dots, similar to something you would use to line kitchen cabinets. While I have no complaints about the way the rug looks in the room, viewing a picture of it is definitely not something I ever thought I would buy, just too busy looking. I picked this rug up with full intention of my wife using in the foyer or a bedroom we are remodeling. However - once the rug came in it really didn't work in either room. Somewhat dejected I rolled it out in my geek cave and I love it! A great unexpected surprise - it works so very well and looks great. The colors really pop with the other colors in the room.
