Ok I have to admit I didn't read the description well - totally on me, but I didn't realize this was a 3-compartment container. I've been wanting to move away from plastic storage containers, and these are going to be great for leftovers of a complete meal instead of using separate containers for each dish. The portion size will be great for a main dish plus two sides. The glass is strong and sturdy, and the lids snap on easily to form a tight seal. First of all, these are made from glass, so they will be much heavier than if they were plastic. The lids seem to make a good seal, but I would still always be wary of putting liquid in them and carry them around in a bag. The divisions are well thought out with how big they are.

These look and seem to perform just like the more expensive competitors for 1/2 or less than 1/2 the price depending. It's nice to have a set of them with interchange-able covers. I had a few different ones before ordering these and once the cover is not ON the container you'll never know which one goes to it again and it will pain you to try to find the right cover. When the container is wearing the wrong hat - they leak or won't close at all. This matched set takes care of that problem because all of the covers fit all of the containers. I have thought with all of the glass containers that the portion sizes are small. It's not that you need to eat more than what they can hold, but it seems like what you have never fits in the compartment that you need but this is for all of them not a problem isolated to these ones. If I could have everything I wanted - a set with matched tops at a bargain plus a silicone wrap so that if they fell they were somewhat protected but that would negate the bargain price by the time they add all that in. I'm very happy to have multiples at such a great price. I am thrilled to stop having constant problems trying to match tops to bottoms. ... show more

These are great for meal prep, but at the same time, not so great for lunch boxes. They are very sturdy and very high quality - but the heft to them is a lot. Each probably weighs close to a pound, so you're hefting a lot of extra weight compared to a plastic container for your lunches. Now, with that in mind - I don't like eating out of plastic, but these I have no issue with at all. They keep the food warmer, cooler all of the above, simply because its a glass dish. The lids fit easily and perfectly, no fighting with it or warping in the dishwasher, no issues with them bending or cracking like you'd see from plastic, and they're great for storing food in an airtight manner in the fridge. 100% recommend, these are my go-to meal prep containers now for certain. ... show more

These glass meal prep containers are the perfect size to prep for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. The portion sizes are appropriate for a protein and two veggies; or whatever combination you choose. The containers are easily stacked in the refrigerator and microwave well without getting too hot to handle (note: the lid was removed during microwaving). The container fits easily into my square lunch bag and does not leak if laid on its side. The lid has continued to stay firmly secured to the container after being washed in the dishwasher. These containers are made from solid thick glass and have an excellent snap on lid. What makes them a step above others is not just that they have 3 areas for food but the fact they can go from meal prep to the freezer to the oven/microwave and then to the dishwasher. So it allows you to cut out the need for so many containers. The compartments are small but that in the end is better for you to cut down on the size of your meals. They are heavy so be prepared for that, not something I would send with an elementary school or even some middle school students. When they arrived in the box, each one was packed securely in styrofoam so even if package was moved around a few times while in transit they would be alright. The snap on lid they do state can go into the dishwasher occasionally but it’s better to hand wash them so that is what I will do. So impressed with this I’m recommending it to other friends. It seems a bit much but in the end it saves money and time so well worth it ... show more

There glass containers are perfect for meal prep you can have your meals perfectly portioned and visually able to see it. The glass containers are heavy good quality and heat up nicely in the microwave and can just pop them in the dishwasher too. Love they have a lid and sealed tightly very nice.
