Not too difficult to put together til the end when everything needs to line up. There's a gap where the glass-half section meets the top. There's also a small chip in the wood on the front and some of the corner edges are splitting off a little. It's definitely not a *super* high quality piece, but once it's put together it *does* look really nice and the imperfections aren't really noticeable. The glass is real glass. And because of that the doors make quite a bit of noise as they grind against the wood when being slid open- they're heavy glass. My husband thinks the handles are on backwards but that is how it is shown in the instructions. I'll admit they seem like they would be on the other way but this way works just fine too. I'll be honest, my whole purpose for buying this was to store my bong, my flower, and other smoking accessories in something heavy and behind glass hidden from view and the demise of the cats. So far it's worked perfectly and almost eliminated any smell.

We have the 31.5"L option and it's the perfect size / depth for our space! My only complaint is that the doors don't slide quite as smoothly as we'd hope, but I'm overall super happy with the quality and design. (Also worth noting; the ribbed side of the doors faces inward, so you won't have that texture on the outside.)

Just finished building a fourth beautiful bamboo bin to tidy up the kitchen. Everything was put away nicely, and while admiring it - CRASH! One door on this cabinet exploded all over the counter! Did the door fall off? Was it because the metal dowels in the middle section didn't quite fit? Was it because the top was built wrong for the side walls? I'm just glad the dog was outside. Until the glass door explosion - minutes after completion - I was pretty impressed with this bamboo bin kit. Good quality materials (um, except for the doors, we now know). Clear instructions (better than the three other bamboo kits I assembled yesterday). Most things fit fine, EXCEPT these critical bits: - Drill holes are a bit uneven in width and depth - Metal dowels did not close down completely on the center wall - Doors had some difficulty sliding and securely sitting in slots Thought we had overcome these issues but BOOM - not. When these doors break - and they will - they shatter clear into the next room. You will keep finding shards for weeks, and you will spend more time cleaning up glass than it took to build the cabinet. If you ignore these warnings and buy it anyway, remember these tips: Wear sturdy gloves, sweep before during and after, and clean dry before you clean wet. Lock the animals in another room. Wash everything nearby that touches food, so nobody ingests invisible bits of glass. Pro tip - If you are stuck with one of these lemons, and if one door survives, here's a fix when the top groove doesn't set low enough to hold the door in: 1. Remove metal dowels on top of the center wall, if they poke up too high, then 2. On the top of the side walls, drill pilot holes DOWN at slight angle, and 3. Re-set the 4 top screws into the new pilot holes, just tight enough to secure the door in the groove, yet let it slide freely.
