It is a camera. Small and light weight. It looks cheap. Cheaply made. Feels like a toy. It has touch screen. Easy enough to use. Make sure to use the microphone they give you. I tried other microphones and those videos had no audio. I think it requires a mic that is powered. And the audio from this camera sounds a bit like it’s been recorded under water. Technically 4k. Probably a scaled up 480p. The image quality is murky. It’s like security camera footage. I got it to shoot an event that I knew was going to be mostly in the dark and for that, it was okay. The IR light throw was shorter than I had hoped and the lens wasn’t as wide as I had hoped, but it did give me an image when there was little to no light available. I don’t know for sure, but I’d guess the focal length of the lens is between 35 and 50mm. It zooms. It has a light. Bottom line, I had fun with it because I knew what I was getting into. It shoots in the dark. Horrible footage, but it’s a look. It’s a vibe. It might never be the primary camera, but it works well as a secondary dumb camera. Oh, and they come with a little bag that you can wear on your belt. Dorky, but I did use it. For it’s short comings it does come with plenty of amenities (batteries, 32 gig SD card, microphone and belt bag).

These cameras are JUNK. Doesn't record long and gets overheated easily. The only good thing is the night vision and such. When I last used it, I went to flip the viewer and it was upside down! So the entire time my video footage was UPSIDE DOWN! SERIOUSLY?! The batteries only last 10 minutes before needing recharged.

I purchased this for a classroom based research study and selected this model in large part due to the remote as I wanted to be able to sit away from the camera but start/stop as needed. As a much cheaper model than others, in hindsight, I probably should have bought something else, as this has been really frustrating to use for the issues I'll describe below. The video quality has worked well in various lighting - (I have not used it at night.) The audio quality has been hit or miss. It often picked up nearby audio of student shuffling (muffling the louder teacher-student talk), but couldn't record student comments from across the room. Major issues: My new larger SD card reformatted the camera so that it now records upside down. Perhaps this is an easy fix, but I am still struggling to correct it within the camera. I have just edited the file after upload. The camera also only records in <15 minute intervals, so you'll have to upload and merge files and the battery life generally only lasted one hour for me. (The description states a fully charged battery can last 90-150 minutes) I'll be reverting back to using an old DSLR camera for its better battery life and recording ability and just downgrading on the HD quality.

Such an amazing and affordable camcorder. I love how it gives a vintage outlook and what I mean by that, is that it displays the time and date in the upper left corner. Image and sound are clear. Doesn't take up room. Has four different video settings, normal, fast, slow, and tbh I forgot the last one. Overall great, would def recommend if your using for trips and if you just want to capture some small memories.
