This is probably the 4th or 5th Lifeproof case I’ve owned over the years. I keep coming back because it’s the only brand I truly trust to keep my phone bone-dry and safe from drops. This specific FRĒ case protected my iPhone XR for its entire life, and it did its job perfectly. You do have to be realistic about the wear, though. After a year or two of daily use, the rubber casing around the hard plastic frame starts to break apart and wear off. It doesn't break the waterproof seal, but it does start to look a bit "battle-worn." For me, the trade-off is worth it. I'd rather have a case that shows its age than a cracked phone. ... show more

Great for the price. I got the grey and there are no imperfections whatsoever. It definitely looks brand new. I have ordered from the LifeProof website before and did not have a good experience. I paid for expedited shipping and it still took over a week to get. And when it came, the back had scratches all over it. I ended up just keeping it because I’m too clumsy and couldn’t risk going without a case for much longer. I’ve used that one for over a year and only bought this one because some how the corner broke and let water into my phone. Thankfully it did not damage my phone, it still looks brand new. This case is very nice and exactly as pictured. Was easy to install and fits snug. There is a little tiny “scratch” on the screen at the top right, but it is barely noticeable and I would hardly consider it a scratch. The touch screen is a little off as sometimes it doesn’t acknowledge my finger, but the other case didn’t have the screen protector so I’m chalking it up to just being used to a bare screen thus far! It does a good job protecting my phone. However, when I’ve had to take my phone out a few time, the blue rubber insulation (that goes around the inside of the case) would be too loose to close so I would have to hold it down and then close the case together. Another thing, the screen doesn’t exactly seal to the phone screen and leaves little “air bubbles” no matter how many times you try to fix it. I have been a faithful user of lifeproof for years now. I always opt for the hardcore, waterproof phone cases they offer. I was slightly disappointed with this case, however. My phone hasn’t not broken and the case has served it’s purpose, but I feel that this case gets beaten up a bit more than the others. It dents and scratches easier. There’s also a band type thing inside of the case that never stays in place and makes it really hard to close the case whilst keeping it in place. If that band is what’s separating water from my phone then I am worried. Overall, these defects may be specific to this case, but since I haven’t seen any others I have no way to know. The next time I need a Caden I’ll still opt for this brand, but I do feel that this case is not as good as my previous ones for my iPhone 5C and 7. Id still recommend buying, as I’m 7 months into this case and it’s still working. ... show more

1. The case is SUPER cute. 2. The case IS waterproof. The only thing I would add to this is I am not testy when it comes to my $600 phone, so I will not test the case with my phone in it under water - the packaging says to test the case every 3 months or so to ensure it stays waterproof. It is extremely difficult to get the case open and get the phone out so I have not done so since the initial test without the phone in it. The charging port that opens does look as if it has gotten loose / lost its tightness since I originally purchased the item a few months ago but that seems like the only issue that could affect the "water proof" feature of the item. 3. It is LifeProof, so the brand is trustable. 4. Touch screen, camera quality, and sound are still phenomenal. 5. No issues on my end yet! I baby my phone so I have not dropped it from a significant height onto a hard surface - but the few times it has fallen onto carpet / tossed it over to the couch, it has held up just fine. ... show more

My neighbor, bess his heart, is very hard on his phones and their cases. He went through cheap phone after phone and cheap case after case. They would fall off. They were hard to charge with the case on. They would not keep the phone from cracking or breaking. When he got his sons used iphone I got him this case. Since then no more cracked screens, no more misplacing it (as it is brightly colored), no more trips to buy a new/used phone! The cases do not last forever but they do last a year with hard use and have saved countless phones of mine and my friends and families. Could not have been more disappointed. I’ve had many life proof cases that I was super happy with, that’s why I was willing to pay more for this one to ensure my new phone was protected. After a few weeks of use the back of my phone shattered & the front was shattered within a few months. I am not an active person anymore it had minimal movement and only a few drops, from just a couple feet height. The color did not hold up it got really dirty really quick it did not look good. I just couldn’t believe how terrible this case was for the $60+ I paid. I know this had to have been a defect but I ended up throwing it away, I wish I had taken a photo of it for this review so you know not to buy it. Terrible product for the money. ... show more
