Its very small, but actually quite bright and diffuses nicely if you position it perfectly, for me, about 8 to 12 inches away, the light always seems to hit just right. And the magnetic attachment? Genius. It's like they knew I needed something foolproof. The gimbal itself is sturdy, handling my iPhone without any complaints. The 600° Inception Mode blew my mind – hard to believe you can get those panoramic shots with a simple gimbal? Plus, the 13-hour battery life means I can shoot all day. Only small issue is i had to ditch my bulky phone case when using it but thats not a big deal. But overall, once once I got the hang of it, it was smooth filming from there. Honestly, for the price, the value I'm getting is unbeatable. I'd recommend the iSteady M5s to anyone looking to step up their video game without breaking the bank.

The media could not be loaded. Bought this gimbal to use for shooting family videos. It’s stable and produces a smooth video. The magnetic light is great to add that bit of extra light you need sometimes. 1/4-20 mount also allows for mounting an accessory like a microphone or additional light. With the app you can have it track you for hands free filming of yourself. Easily switch from landscape to portrait orientation and really easy to balance. Fits all phones I have tried even an iPhone 15pro max with a case on it. Joystick allows for creating compound moves or just making small adjustments. Modes are easy to switch and indicated clearly on the gimbal. You aren’t guessing like some other gimbals. Definitely recommend this product.

This was my first introduction to gimbals. The price was great compared to others and I ordered it with the idea of it being the one. I think it's a great little gimbal that does a lot of things well. I like that it has a 360 degree range, I like the sturdy tripod, and I like the way it feels in my hand. I like that there is a light that easily attaches to the holder. It has great features for what I paid and more features than one I bought that is almost twice the price. However, I am going to return it. The reasons I am returning it - 1) It's not easy to get my iPhone 12 Pro Max to balance due to the way the phone has to be placed into a resting spot at the end. 2) It would not balance at all the case on my phone. Removing the case is the biggest issue for me because I don't want to have to do that every time I use it. 3) This one is quite large and would require me to carry a larger bag around if I wanted to take it with me on a hike or sightseeing tour. If you don't have the budget for a more compact gimbal and really need one, I do highly recommend this one as a first gimbal!

I already own an Osmo gimbal, and wanted another option, so I know how to properly use a gimbal for my phone. After connecting my phone to this gimbal's bluetooth and opening the hohem app, the gimbal beeped loudly and continuously until it powered itself down. Returned it and got a refund. If you're looking for a gimbal, the Osmo is far superior.

The media could not be loaded. Super cool cellphone gimbal!!! right off the bat, it solved a couple of limitations I experienced with some cellphone gimbals in the past. The most obvious one, the onboard light. The setup was way faster than other brands where I had to install sticky things permanently on your phone...no more. Ultra-Wide shots without the gimbal arm showing up on frame!! just tilt forward and voila. Whenever I did a reveal shot, depending on the situation, I would cast a shadow on the wall or object I used to obscure the frame. I would try the the cellphone light, but it would create a nasty hotspot on near objects before the reveal. The onboard fill light is perfect to softly remove those shadow without over-brightening the wall. Also, thumbs up on the carrying case. I can put it in my backpack without feeling like it's gonna break... and the Bluetooth connectivity to trigger recording from the controls on board was possible even without downloading their app. I recommend it.

Product was great until it wasn’t… I used this item 4-5 times and charged it 3x total. On the 3rd charge going to use it the 6th time. The motor randomly sounds like it is grinding and the stabilizer won’t do anything. Super bummer. Hoping warranty will come through and fix it.

I was VERY confused setting up this gimbal (a new concept to me!) and it kept shutting down, turns out - I was doing it wrong. I reached out to customer service via the app and got an immediate response. With my continued confusion they offered to get on a Zoom call with me. I was on a zoom call with someone within 5 minutes and my problem was solved! It was SO incredibly helpful and kind of them to offer this level of service. I will be using the product more this weekend but can already tell this is exactly what I was looking for. The carrying case for the gimbal is nice and sturdy and will easily fit into a bag for travel. I'm super pleased with this purchase so far!
