Got it to do with my 5yr old. Good product but I ended up doing 95% because a bit too advanced for my son and directions wouldn't be good enough for young kids to do it alone.

This is a fun set with nearly 1400 pieces. While I haven't started building with my 7 year old, the pieces do snap into place well. Lots of objects that when completed provides an opportunity for imaginative play with the crane, ship, cargo containers, etc.
