The booklet does not instruct on which number to set the tension knob when using different types of material. This is a Christmas gift but when I opened the box to see the machine the needle was threaded with material with stitches on it under the needle. The list of accessories includes one needle but there is one in the package and one already on the machine. It says 4 bobbins, 2 threaded and 2 empty, there are 6 bobbins...2 already being used on the machine. I ordered a new machine not a used machine but the extra supplies are a bonus. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that the machine is okay and not a returned machine because it was broke. ... show more

This machine was horrendous. It came with plastic shavings inside the machine, and a broken screw. The box was also cut all the way down the side, and someone used packing tape to fix the box. This is how it was sent out.

Had my doubts because someone other reviews from other sellers with the same product had ok or bad reviews but honestly, this machine is PERFECT!! I just picked up sewing like this month in an attempt to make my daughter a dress and this machine, for me being a beginner, was so easy to function and use. The instructions for usage in the machine were great but what really helped me was a 15 min video on YouTube. Definitely worth the buy, even better for beginner sewers like myself! ... show more
