Excellent bagel slicer. Please be extra careful when hand wash. I was cut drying the blade compartment not careful and I was cut. I bought half a dozen everything bagels and I tried it out. It was effortlessly sliced in half. Very sharp blade. I wished the based was a little heavier so it will not move when the blade cutter was push down. Any way it was much better than the bamboo bagel slicer purchased from Walmart. My knife at home it's dull so it was a little challenge for me to slice the bagels in half. Love this product. I buy a dozen or more fresh bagels and freeze them, this makes that process of slicing and bagging so much easier, than slicing with a knife. Be careful cleaning it though, that blade is sharp.
