I had my husband put this together and the same issue I read about in other reviews happened with mine. The cabinet doors did not end up aligning correctly. Overall, it came out fine but it does bother me a bit.

I got this to use in my office. The finished piece is really lovely and substantial. It is solid and I have confidence that it will hold up over time and use. The capacity is limited by its depth, but that was easy to know since I needed something with a small footprint into my narrow space. For that, it is perfect! Still plenty of room to store extra paper, cleaning supplies, and other items I want to hide from view. My only hesitation about recommending this with 5 stars is the difficulty of assembly. It took 2 of us more than 3 hours to put it together. The primary challenge was getting the door hinges hung. There are holes drilled for the hinge screws, but on our version, they did not align well. We were only able to attach 2 holes on one side and we made 3 work on the other. Once we made the hinge adjustments, everything looks perfect. It was just very frustrating getting them that way. ... show more

This is a solid piece of furniture. There are lots of prices and parts and it took me over 4 hours to put together but the directions are so easy to read. The finished piece is study and beautiful.
