Based on the ultra popular HS-81MG the HS-82MG gets a new stronger motor and updated electronics for more precise centering. The HS-82MG is perfect for smaller aircraft and helicopters where a durable gear train is required.

I purchased this servo for the yaw mechanism on my simplecopter tricopter tail assembly. I've got about 25 hours of flight time and so far it has held up very well. The movement is smooth and precise and the construction has brushed off several hard crashes. If your looking for a quality tail servo for a tricopter then look no further. Especially if you don't want to wait on china and need a quality part. Don't skimp on your tail servo..TRUST ME.     • Great Metal Gear servo to replace weak rudder and elevator servos on the Dynam Pitts
These are Analog metal gear servos. For Analog servos they make a bit of noise but perform great on my Dynam Pitts Python. They are a perfect replacement for the stock elevator and rudder servos on the Pitts. They center well and speed is good. Only about 20 flights so far but holding up well.

Overall, it is a good servo. Tough because it has metal gears. Hitec always makes decent servos. There is slop as well because it does not have a ball bearing. This will also cause it to wear out earlier. The HS-85MG is better, but more expensive.

These are good metal-gear servos. They are not digital, but they are a great value for the money and nobody builds better servos than Hitec!
