The crimper’s work as advertised. The pens have some wings that wrap around the wire you have to bend those in slightly to get them to fit into the crimper, but once in place, they do a fine job. For someone older like myself, I would recommend a magnifying glass to make sure you get the pins inserted in the receptacles with the proper alignment for the locking clip. ... show more

    • Difficult to use
The crimper leaves the fitting bent in a way that doesn’t fit into the JST connector. No instructions. The supplies seem decent so the 3 stars are for the packaging, wires and connectors. Crimper tool isn’t worth it.

These crimpers are absolutely horrible and worthless, being a professional ASE certified auto technician I've used many crimpers these are by far the worst I've seen yet,after crimping terminals pull right off and after crimping terminals would not go into the connectors.

    • It's works
I had to search "Dupont connector youtube" and find a video that shows how to actually use this thing. It works-sort of-once you get the hang of it. It's important to place the connector so the prongs face down, not up, against the v shaped part or it won't crimp correctly. Watch the video. For what it costs and what it does, it works well enough. When pushing the crimped part into the plastic dupont receptacle make sure it is prong side up and the receptacle has the small window facing up as well.     • Pin crimping difficult
Even with the crimping tool, the process of crimping the pins on the wire and inserting the pins in the connectors was sloppy. The pins would not stay seated in the connector. I had to purchase larger shrink wrap to hold everything together. I must have used a dozen connectors to get one connection working properly. I would not purchase this product again. Needle nose pliers was more useful than the crimping tool. ... show more
