  • This is the most glorious TV I have ever owned
Style: 2024 Model Size: 65-Inch
I cannot believe how much I love this TV. As background, I bought a TLC from Amazon several months ago and hated it. Not only was it having issues working well with Google and Alexa, but I could never get the color right. It always looked off and meh. I returned it. I finally chose this one for Black Friday, and I cannot believe how much I love it. I have never owned a TV this beautiful in my life. The picture is glorious, it’s like being at the movies. Right out of the box, the picture was very good, excellent even. With some tweaks, it’s just perfect. I will say that reading the calibration suggestions online was pretty useless. It’s not like there’s that many settings, and what I found particularly nice was there were often three or four different options in each setting, each of which made the screen look better. (I opted for filmmaker mode, and just adjusted the brightness, color etc from there.) With the TLC I felt like every calibration option was subpar, nothing made the TV look better. I’m not a TV geek, so I can’t tell you about the blackness level. I CAN tell you that the color is outstanding, the clarity is outstanding, the brightness is outstanding, but it does get to be a little bright sometimes. Of all things, captions are too bright on Netflix. And while the TV itself lets you set the caption color to something less obnoxious, Netflix overrules, the TV caption settings, and only lets you do white or yellow, both of which are way too bright. Daylight scenes can be a bit much, light coming in through a window can be a bit too bright because it’s that bright of a TV. But that’s a small point. It’s simply an amazing tv. One word about the viewing angle, as I read a lot of TVs in this price range are terrible when viewed a little bit off to the side. I’m not noticing a decrease in viewing quality much at all, unlike with my TLC. So that’s a relief. I’m also enjoying the Google interface, seems to work fine, and plays well with YouTube TV, Prime video and Netflix. And it was super easy to set up. Following the instructions to put the stand on the TV was living hell, as there are picture-only instructions like IKEA! Just awful. And the TV is pretty heavy, so you’re gonna need somebody’s help putting it on the stand. But again, those are minor issues. This is the most beautiful TV I have ever owned, and the quality of the picture looks like those crazy pictures you see on display room floor, and know it’s never going to look like that at home. With this TV, it does. One final point, I’m really not understanding why this only has four out of five stars here. The professional reviewers love it (Tom’s, Rtings). It makes me wonder if some people are receiving a TV that substandard. Meaning, if with a few tweaks, this thing is not glorious, consider returning it for another one. I simply can’t express sufficiently in words how glorious this TV is. It was worth every penny (I got it for $890). ... show more

  • Great picture quality, good price and responsive interface
Style: 2024 Model Size: 65-Inch
For the price around $800, this TV really packs a punch. Super bright HDR, great contrast and is very responsive. Plenty of options to tinker with for sound and video. Speaking of sound, the speakers are actually very decent for built in speakers with subs too. It would be nice to be able to debloat some of the built in apps, but it can sort of be done with adb commands if you're feeling up to the challenge. I was able to add it to home kit and google home with a little tinkering and overall I'm very happy with the experience I've had so far. Hopefully it last for 5-10 years! ... show more

  • Amazing TV for the price
Style: 2024 Model Size: 65-Inch
Simply amazing. I have had Sony and Samsung TVs in the past. I was debating between this TV and Sony's Mini LED which was on Sale for $500 more than this TV. I opted for this TV, mostly because of the nits and the Included Sub Woofer.. Pros: 1- Amazing sound, no need for a sound system or sound bar for majority of content. For HDR movies with action, I use my sound system. The sound quality is not as good as a sound system, however, it is almost as good as most sound bars! 2- The picture quality is unmatched, although it is an 8 bit+FRC panel and not a native 10 bit panel, I cannot tell the difference. True 10 bit would be a good spec to have though. Local dimming is flawless, and fantastic. I have never seen whiter whites and blacker blacks on any monitor or TV, including OLEDs. 3- The ergonomics of the TV and the stand, and packaging. Easy to unbox and install very smart design all around. Cons: 1- The Android TV OS (Hisense's port) on this TV is a little laggy. Probably due to the low end processor that runs it, and nub developers who ported it. It is most obvious by the volume indicator delay. 2- The Ethernet speed is 100Mb, in this day and age it should be at min. 1Gb! Overall, a very good TV, and Hisense is on a path to be big competition for the likes of Sony. Someday Chinese manufacturers will learn not to cut corners (cheap panel, and processor) when they build high end products. The TV at $900 on sale is a good deal, at MSRP of $1499 is a non-starter. ... show more
