Needed a 50" TV for my outside patio and this fits the bill nicely. Great price for 4K QLED TV (like $260 for 50"). Excellent quality for watching sports or movies, YouTube, Hulu + liveTV, Max, Disney+, etc. Connects easily to my headphones with Bluetooth. The FIRE OS is simple to navigate and has all the Apps needed. Have this on a mobile TV stand and this TV screws in easily with the screws and spacers that come with stand. Its not my main TV for indoors which that is mini QLED but the screen quality on this is absolutely clear (better than my 2021 Samsung 4K), it connects to my wifi router indoors with no issues, it can take about 30 seconds-1min to initially load when first turning on after being outside (with TV cover + patio cover) all night but once running the lag time of switching Apps, navigation thru shows etc is no issue. Recommend as great quality for price point. Edit after 2 weeks: sometimes the TV can run into loading issues (like with Hulu), such as during an NFL game the screen will freeze while I still get sound. This is annoying obviously if you’re watching a big game. Its hard for me to know if its the TV or my WiFi connection as the issue, but its probably the WiFi as I don't get this issue with my TVs indoors. I'm not removing a star for this reason as the screen picture quality is absolutely 5 stars. May have to look at a wifi extender as next step for outdoors. ... show more

Great picture did have a little lag at first with the remote to the TV when I first got it but since then the issue resolved itself. Don't care much for the application layout and I think Roku did that better. However the picture is crystal clear and gorgeous coloring. I’m really impressed with the picture quality on this tv. The 4K resolution is clear, and the colors are vibrant thanks to the QLED. It was easy to set up and the built-in Fire TV works great, everything is snappy and easy to navigate. It’s a fantastic value for a 55-inch screen!

For this review I will skip the Pros and Cons and just get to the point. Nice TV for the price at the time and the size. I knew prior to ordering TVs using FireTV OS typically aren't that good compared to Roku or Google TV OSs. This one is no different, as you can read other reviews around this. With this said, I initially had this TV for just showing HDMI output, no Wifi connectivity. This worked just fine, the TV stayed on most of the time unless intentionally turned off, and the TV turned on to navigate to HDMI within like 10 - 15 seconds. But once I changed that so that I can use Airplay straight to the TV, therefore, I had to connectivity to Wifi, the load time from power on is now like 60 - 90 seconds. Also, in both setups, the menu navigation is also sluggish. But again I bought the TV knowing this so I cannot give it less than 4 out of 5. Also, Airplay works just fine once connected, and I don't notice any performance degradation. But I don't see why they cannot optimize the performance on FireTVs... But I guess its for affordability. Outside of the performance, the other minor issue was the frame on the TV I have has a small gap between the screen and the front frame towards the bottom of TV. Not visible unless you standing above the TV, but its a thing. I did not see any dead pixels so thats good. And as for the goods, well, the screen is nice, as I said no dead pixels on mine. Physically the TV is good, stand is solid enough. For what I use it for and what I got out of it so far, its a 4 out of 5. ... show more

This is an excellent television for the price. Have had it for 3 days now. We can see a discernable difference in the picture quality between this set and the last one we had. Images are so clear and defined that it almost looks like we're watching live action compared to other screens. It did take a bit of effort to set it up properly and connect to the apps we use. As I set it up it prompted me to set a new Amazon password, which I did, but then it wouldn't give me access to Prime video. It prompted me to sign up for Prime (which I already have). After some research I found that the new password actually created a secondary account and the TV was logged into that secondary account. I reset everything and went back through setup again. I was prompted to again set up yet another new password for my Amazon account, so I did. This time, though, I entered actual usernames and passwords rather than using the QR code scanner and trying to do it the "easy way." The second time around it all worked fine. I do think that there is some lag when switching between apps, but that does not bother us. The processing speed is fine. There are a variety of visual settings and sound settings. The sleep timer works great. The remote and the menus are easy to use. We are very pleased with this purchase. ... show more

I'm giving this 5 stars because the picture quality is amazing and the price was great. That being said I've had it less than a week and its crashed more than once. Twice its closed the app I'm watching and opened up other apps all on its own. Since its only a week in and its happened more than once, I'm assuming this will be a recurring annoyance. The set up was super easy and simple. Overall I'm pleased with it. I was very impressed with the picture quality for the price. The blacks are deep black, the color is bright and vibrant. I will say having a corner entertainment center I had to buy a stand but so far everything has worked out. Although the TV I'm replacing had speakers manufactured from a non-generic company with higher wattage the sound gets the job done being in the master bedroom especially with the corner entertainment center. The bezel is non-existent except for the bottom, it's edge to edge screen. I've had no screen issues as Hisense especially if you buy from Walmart is a 50/50 when it comes to panel issues. I'll update this review sometime from now but for the sale price and what you get I'm giving it five stars. Going to take some time to tweak some features but so far the best bang for your buck. Even though my phone has 72 cameras on the back LOL the pictures do it no justice. ... show more

    • Good Overall But Not Fully Convinced

First, let me say I have had a 47" LG LED 1080p TV for over 15 years. I also have a 55 inch TCL Roku 4k TV, that I've had for about 6 years. I bought this set to replace my LG that has been my "daily driver" in the living room for a long time. I have it hooked up to a ROKU 4k Stick and an antenna, and pretty decent Internet. Here are my pros and cons: Pros: -Easy set up out the box - Easy to connect with my Roku Stick. - Super clear picture in some situations when streaming Prime Video or Netflix. - I love that I can use either remote to control the TV (I usually use the Roku remote, but the TV remote is for local stations). - It looks sharp with the very thin bezel. - The Price was right for what I was looking for. Cons: - I'm still playing with the picture settings to find the look I want. The picture seems kinda flat in some situations. - I definitely prefer the Roku interface to the Fire TV one. - I did not consider the size of the bezel on my old TV, so I should've gone bigger (nothing against Hisense). It looks smaller than my old LG. -I will need a sound bar for the TV, as the sound is ok but not great. I am old school, and I can't connect this to my receiver and surround setup (also over 15 years old) since there is not an AV output. Overall, the TV is still growing on me. I see the difference in qled vs my TCL and LG, and it's an upgrade even though something still seems off. It was a good purchase, and I'll update this later as I use it more. UPDATE: 6 months in, adding a sound bar, and adding the Roku App instead of switching between the 2 remotes... I'm Good with this purchase. I'm keeping my rating at 4 stars because there is one annoying thing that keeps happening...I turn it on, go to the live TV guide, pick a channel, and then it goes to whatever the last channel I watched. Once I go back and select the new channel again, then it goes to that station. This can be very annoying, but I've come to expect it. If I could do it again, I would have gotten a Roku TV over a Fire TV. ... show more
