  • 4K ALLM, VRR & 120hz in an inexpensive package
Size: 55-Inch
Got the 55 inch Q6 model. I’m coming from a Sony Bravia 49 inch from 2017. Drastic difference in TV quality. I’ve never experienced Dolby Atmos Vision and Audio until I got this Q6, very impressed with the quality For those that say it’s clunky , name one firestick that isn’t , just happens to be that the TV has one built in as it’s UI. The most recent software for the TV is Android 11 / firestick OS 8. As with any fire stick or firestick tv you will be introduced to several updates before you can enjoy the TV the way it’s supposed to work. Color reproduction is pretty accurate , Brightness , HDR is all on point. The real gem to this TV is that it can do ALLM, VRR and 120hz , perfect for PlayStation 5. I do see a an extremely noticeable difference when playing Call of Duty and Doom Eternal. When playing movies that are Dolby Vision / Audio , the setting changes to Dolby Vision Bright. I reviewed every single review on this TV on Amazon before committing to purchase. I have no regrets , there’s a new Fire TV OS that changes the layout and fixes many issues coming soon. At the 240 dollars I got this tv for on prime week, I’d say I got a bargain. Build quality, the Q6 housing and stands are made of plastic. The screen is glass!, which is a first for me with a 4K TV. Only caveat is reflection issues with the screen. If the sun is beaming through the window the screen will reflect. My advice is to be careful with the screen area , and if you have to, buy an outdoor cover for the TV to keep it protected from mishaps. Wi-Fi has no issues with my model, Ethernet works the way it’s supposed to. The remote is identical to the Fire TV 4K MAX remote, it just has a Hisense branding along with a Fire tv branding. I’m still confident this TV deserves a 5 star rating. Per my purchase and experience with the Q6 55 inch, it’s light years better than my old Sony Bravia 4k that suffered with the “blue backlight issues”. I think it’s pretty noble for a TV manufacturer to have a more than affordable 55 inch 4k that has the same extras other 4K TVs have at triple the price. If you want to speed things up a bit on the TV, use an external SSD usb drive as an expansion of the internal memory and move as many apps as you can into it. Some apps don’t transfer at all. In return you do get faster response but not as good as a current 4k max firestick ( 16GB model ) . I’ve read the new Fire OS update with the new layout should make the fire tv experience much quicker. Not a single regret on this purchase. I’ve bought a $250 Insignia once that was nightmare fuel, this TV, actually made me forget that purchase at almost the same price. Go for it if you’re a gamer, go for it if you enjoy movies in better quality , Go for it if you want to enjoy current gen tech at a reasonably cheap price. It’s important to note that 120hz sets the screen resolution to 1440p for the PlayStation 5, most games with low latency features for TVs run at this resolution anyway. Not bad for a 2025 Hisense! ... show more

  • This is a really nice TV
Size: 43-Inch
I've been looking to replace my old plasma in my room for a while. This one came up on sale, and I could not pass it up. It is really nice, and the picture is great. I was concerned about the viewing angle, because that can be a problem in this price range. It is not a problem here. You can watch things thing if you were sitting right next to it. The picture and sound quality are amazing, and it has all the cool audio formats if you want to output to something else. I could not be happier with this TV and the picture and sound. Enough so when I replace another one of my older TVs, I may stick with this model on a larger scale instead of paying much more for the "nicer" models. That said, in my case, I was replacing an older TV that had a Fire TV Stick 4K on it. I was expecting the Fire TV interface to be better than that since it's all built in. This TV comes with Wi-Fi 5, which is a bit disappointing since the stick had Wi-Fi 6, and my better sticks have Wi-Fi 6e. You would think the newest TV would have a more updated Wifi version. Not a big deal. Most of my smart TVs I just use the sticks versus the TV interface, so I can switch back to the stick if needed. So far the Wi-Fi 5 is doing just fine. Next, if you are restoring from another Fire TV device backup, don't even try using it for a while. Let it do its thing like update the Fire TV version, and all the apps. It's not easy to know where it is in the process. I don't believe there is a way to see the queue, you just get notices that apps are ready to use. Give it 30-60 minutes depending on how many apps you have installed. I told it to restore from the existing sticks backup, and then tried to go in and use it right away. I received all sorts of errors with logins. The YouTube app I had to uninstall and reinstall to get it to work at all. Fire TV is sort of it's own special torture anyway, but I think if you wait until it downloads and updates everything you will be happier in the long run. Again, don't let this discourage you from buying it. It works great. Fire TV is just a bit special, especially the Hulu and Paramount+ apps which seem very prone to crashing. I still use it on every TV in my house though. ... show more

  • Good picture- but no headphone jack and erratic performance. One star for poor software.
Size: 43-Inch
Mixed feelings about this monitor... overall disappointed. The picture is crisp. Text is easily readable. I can read text I never could before, and I'm seeing colors I never saw before. The QLED lives up to its rep. So why am I giving it 2 stars? Five reasons: 1) The quality of the software and operation is poor-- as mentioned by other reviewers. My set has a problem of going black every so often and needing to be turned off and back on to regain the picture. This is very obviously a software problem that needs to be fixed. 2) Major: the 43in and 50in versions do NOT contain a headphone jack-- and the advertising didn't state that. They showed the controls from the 55in+ sets. A TV without a headphone jack causes problems if one wants to watch TV while the rest of the family is sleeping or studying... or if a person is hard of hearing and uses headphones all the time... or if one lives in an apartment complex with TV / stereo volume limitations. Its having Bluetooth does not replace a standard headphone jack (I paid for my deluxe, awesome-sound, wired headphones and I want to use them). 3) The color can be difficult to adjust if you're using it as a computer monitor, even if you are using no other input. It seems a regular battle between the Hisense settings and Graphics Card Control panel settings. It should have no problem with this, since it has a specific GAME MODE function built in when hooked into digital feed systems. It took me longer to adjust this than any other TV I've ever owned. In addition, the Game Mode is really annoying, as Hisense seems to find it necessary to visibly inform you every time the TV switches to Game Mode (which is often. It seems to decide to switch to Game Mode at random-- even when it's used permanently as a computer monitor). 4) When used as a computer monitor (which worked just fine on the prior Hisense 43" system) it doesn't always auto-switch to GAME MODE when turning the system on, which significantly affects color and monitor settings. It also often does not recognize the computer as being connected. I contacted Hisense and after them putting me through a dozen hoops, I told them I was returning the television. A few days later I got an email from Toshiba (evidently the manufacturer) which told me exactly how to get my preferred input to start up. It was a setting buried deep, deep inside the system menu... with no manual (either printed or online) to explain to customers where to find such things. So it does boot to the correct HDMI port now, but what I had to go through to find out how to do that was ridiculous. 5) There are several software glitches. Numerous 1-star reviews here point to their internal software as their major complaint. I have to agree. In addition, they present standard advertising on their Home splash screen, and the customer has no way to control that (that I'm aware of). I didn't buy this TV for them to force no-opt-out advertisements on me, taking up a LOT of valuable screen space that could be better used by menu items. In short, this television is a mess. I would give it 2 stars ONLY because it has a great picture at a low price-- when it works. Since it sometimes doesn't work, 1 star. This is my second Hisense. I had none of these problems with the prior 43" 4K model. So I'd guess the software team really rushed this one to market... and they need to do some debugging and updating. In addition they seemed set on killing the golden goose by sucking as much profit out of this as possible in forced 3rd-party advertising. These are major issues... and it cost them stars on this one. Getting this during Prime Days -- and QLED monitor for $199???-- could not resist. But I'm not impressed with system functionality or unwanted ads replacing needed screen space. ADDENDUM: Today AMAZON support called me, and was super-friendly and supportive. They were very interested in any and all feedback. I also found out a couple of things: 1) This is an Amazon Fire TV. For some reason something didn't click with the "SMART FIRE" labeling on the advertisement, and I didn't realize this was an Amazon television. So if you like Amazon products, this has the stuff. If not, that's something to be aware of. 2) Apparently there IS online documentation on this television... but it is buried deep in the HELP area of the Amazon website, and can be tricky to find. It's not a typical technical manual; written more for the end user... which is good (unless you're looking for technical information). I mentioned to Amazon I would put a big bright orange card in the box telling people how to find help setting up the TV. They accepted all my feedback, and couldn't have been more supportive and friendly. I have always found Amazon support to be top-notch... which I can't say for the Hisense team. So overall, now that I know exactly how to set up and use the TV... it works most of the time. I still don't like that it doesn't have a headphone jack, nor that 1/2 of the Home screen is taken up in 3rd-party advertising rather than menu functions, or that every once in a while it decides to go dark. But one thing I've experienced with Amazon is that they are VERY concerned with customer welfare and feedback (in most instances). They want Amazon products to be quality and popular, and their support system shows it. Of course I would have appreciated it if that support had been available a couple of weeks ago, but on the plus side within that two weeks I was contacted by both Toshiba and Amazon, both concerned with my satisfaction regarding this product. It still remains that they need to correct the software / performance / advertising issues on this television. I didn't buy this system to have advertising thrown in my face every time I turn it on, and I sure expect it to work instead of dropping to black. I give it one star for erratic performance, poor software, and forced advertising on the home screen. ... show more

  • Required a replacement, but happy overall.
Overall, the picture quality is very good, and almost glare free even though it is next to large windows. The volume is good too. However I needed a replacement sent due to a software related issue which I’ll explain below: Purchased this TV a few weeks ago and it arrived in seemingly fine condition. It was frustrating that the delivery window was 12 hours long, but the delivery itself was smooth. Unfortunately, as time went on some issues with the TV became apparent. These issues seemed to be software related and included: lag, difficulty loading screens, freezing, download issues, and temporary flickering of a portion of the screen. All issues, except for the overall lag, were solved by a power restart. I contacted Amazon within the 30 day window, and arranged for a replacement. I find it slightly frustrating that the drop off of the replacement cannot coincide with the pick up of the old TV, as I don’t want to have to store a 75 inch TV for a week. That said, its not the end of the world. I received the replacement today and so far the new TV seems to be working far more smoothly than the original. The lag is greatly reduced. I will update this review if any issues become apparent. Bottom line, the TV is great for the price and I am happy with the purchase despite the issues. Its just reality that not all products will come off the production line as intended. The software problem isn’t something you can see with the naked eye, and based on other reviews the problem does not appear to be widespread. For the price, I think its an acceptable risk to order this TV because you are unlikely to get unlucky. If you do get unlucky, Amazon offers a solution. Hope this helps. ... show more

  • Hisense Fire 2025 QLED Hits a Homerun! Great Budget QLED TV!
Size: 50-Inch
This Hisense TV is highly recommended by several reviewers but got an average rating on RTINGS.COM. After seeing what it can do, I agree with all the positive feedback! For a tv that costs less than 300 dollars you can't beat the quality of this QLED display. The HDR visuals looks really good and detailed, the contrast between light and dark are great, color is vivid, and lighting is better than I thought it would be. This model can get bright, but isn't blinding bright, like some QLED tv's. The screen doesn't have too much reflection glare and can work well in a dark room or lighter room. That aspect alone makes this tv amazing. Sound is excellent! Also, this tv has a game mode that can output VRR and ALLM, surprisingly with no HDMI 2.1 ports. Thats awesome and rare! So, if you play console or pc games, this setup is solid! My advice is that you turn the color up to 10, adjust the brightness to 4 or 5 and make sure you turn on all HDR settings. Lastly, when you setup the TV, you'll need to register it with your Amazon account via a code. Oh, and the remote control is great too, very easy to use. In short, this TV is an amazing model at an amazing value! Great entry level QLED TV, I highly recommend this TV. ... show more

  • Amazon Crushed the Delivery, literally! For the money This is a Great TV!
Size: 43-Inch
I can't really give a review of the TV because Amazon crushed the screen while in transit. The box looked like it had been to hell and back. I have maybe ordered 5 TV's from Amazon and this is the first one that they broke. I ordered another and ran the broken one off to The UPS store. For now one star. Once the next TV arrives in good condition I will write another review and change the star rating. Update: I got the replacement set up and while streaming Amazon prime Video the picture started to flicker and black out and the sound went out of sync and the the TV self corrected. This is not what I paid for. I bought this to use along side my 65" Hisense QLED QD7 that I use for gaming and I wanted to the 43 inch to display my Discord, SRS and Voice Attack. ****Read all the way to the bottom***** It works well for this purpose but I can't risk the picture going bad and not allowing me to see my apps running. This TV has 20% of it's reviews at one star and if they offered a 0 star rating I'm sure that the one star ratings would be 0. I'm not having any of these problems with my 65 inch Hisense QD7. I think the problem with the 43 inch which this review is for, with the Fire TV interface. Okay another UPDATE: The flickering problem was due to running HDR through HDMI 2.1 which should have been okay. I bought a 1.4 Display Port cable and ran that from my Nvidia 3090ti card to the tv and no more flickering. Streaming via wifi is without issue. I will be keeping this TV. With the good and bad reviews on this set, I guess it the luck of the draw. ... show more

Size: 55-Inch
This is the first time I have bought a TV not from a major brand and was truly blown away with the quality not only of the construction, but the picture is stunning. It was incredibly easy to set up and use. Sound is very good for internal speakers. I wall mounted and had all the correct pin locations for easy mounting. A big plus was of course the price, I am still amazed at the quality compared to my other more expensive TV's. Highly recommend this TV and Hisense. ... show more
