Purchased this for a guitar that it isnt necessarily designed for. Definitely for Fender basses but with some know how and some time, it could be installed on virtually any bass. Wanted to replace all the "black chrome" hardware on a Schecter Hellraiser 4 bass with black hardware and didnt want to cheap out. I know Hipshot is a solid name in the industry and decided to spend my money there. Glad I did. Getting a better more low end tone than I had previously. If you've got a bass that this is designed for, I say dont be scared, it's an easy swap. If like me and good with your hands its a nice DIY project. I have an FSR P-bass made for Guitar Center. It's a wonderful ash body with a rosewood fingerboard. In any event the factory bridge was the only flaw in the guitar which would come apart with any kind of slapping. It had a white pickguard too which was just too bland for me. Anyhow I put a black pickguard on it and this made it pop. So I just had to put on a black bridge and black tuners. The Hipshot products are very well made and the fitment is excellent. Using a radius gauge, I was able to adjust proper height and intonation on the bridge. Although a special issue MIM P-Bass, it is quite precise with tune and intonation, just as good or better than it's American made counterpart. I am quite happy with the end product. Lately I've been purchasing bass guitars that are beat-up and ready for the scrapheap and totally rebuilding them. The bass guitar in the pictures with this review is an almost completed project. The bridges that come with most guitars are functional, but when it comes to setting up the inclination or the intonation these bridges are inferior. This bridge is easy to make adjustments with and makes a guitar look like a higher priced model. Whether a bass or a 6 string guitar this bridge is well worth the cost and I highly recommend it. ... show more

And I always have trouble finding parts that fit especially pick ups. So I measured out the Dimensions with calipers and to my surprise they matched so when it arrived It was just an easy swap no fuss at all intonation was a breeze just check the brass fitting mines were installed wrong. Other than that it was really simple. I use 115 gauge strings and I had no problem fitting it through. Love it I was able to get a lower action as well. ... show more
