  • Perfect fit for 2011 Fender American Special
Style: Pickguard
Perfect fit, nice and tight around the pickups but not too tight. Took me ten minutes start to finish. Did not even need to remove the strings. One thing which I liked but is odd is it has a sort of black matte finish which feels almost like sticky wax paper which I thought might be a thin plastic protective cover but does not seem to want to come off. There were also a few little scratches in it as delivered, I left it on as I want the bass to be blacked out and matte vs reflective was good for me. Also that it is sticky helps me get a little grip when using my thumb as a brace. Probably is a flim I need to peel off but it looks great - nobody can tell. Re scratches: It was not scratched in shipment as it was sent in a box way too big, about two inches thicker than the Fender packaging. ... show more

  • Looks sexy!!@@
Style: Pickguard
This was for a P-bass I sold years ago. I found it again and bought it back, but the guy had changed out the PUPs to originals and pickguard to a tortuous shell...yuk! I replaced the pups with Seymour Duncan Quarter Pounds and pickguard back to black. She now sounds and looks awesome again just like when I owned her before. ... show more

  • Perfect fit...almost
Style: Pickguard
Authentic Fender product. Three ply and quality made. This fits perfect except for the fact that there's a cut-out for a truss rod at the base of the neck and my Squire 60's Custom Vibe P Bass has the truss rod opening at the headstock. That is completely my fault for not looking closely.

  • Pretty Good
Style: Pickguard
Bought this for my Mexican Fender Precision Bass and for about a week, thought that I had made the wrong purchase because it seemed to have a scratched up matte finish instead of a shiny smooth one. Shortly thereafter, I peeled a very well hidden, almost invisible plastic coating off to reveal the true pickguard. Installation was simple and it looks great. Just remember to peel off the plastic. Note however, that some basses have a truss rod hole located at the base of the fretboard towards the body. Other basses have the truss rod hole at the top of the fretboard near the head/tuning pegs (which is the case with my bass). This pickguard has a small half-circle cut-out at the top to accommodate for a truss rod hole being near the body. On my bass, this little notch serves absolutely no purpose and leaves a tiny part of the bass uncovered. I don't mind much, but inspect the shape of your instrument before you buy. ... show more

  • Genuine Fender
Style: Pickguard
Perfect fit to match my black-body American Fender P Bass. Looks much better than the original white pickguard. Great price too. Back of the pickguard has the metal foil shielding and there is a protective plastic layer on the front surface that you can peel off gently during installation.

  • Fit perfect on my Squier P Bass
Style: Pickguard
I was skeptical on purchasing at first but glad I did. If anyone is concerned if it wouldn’t fit on your Squier, trust me it’s a perfect fit. Replacing the old tortoise to the black was quick and easy. Plus it looks much nicer.
