  • Overall A Solid MTB
I am very impressed with the build quality of this bike considering the price. The blue and the orange also go so well together and look wayyyy better in person. The only things I would consider upgrading is the seat and possibly the pedals. The seat like most other reviews is definitely skinny and hurts your bum. And the pedals are a little small for my liking but still get the job done. ... show more

  • No-no online shopping
Color: Green
First of all, the set rides up your ass, not a good fit. Had to go out and purchase a Schwin Bicycle seat. The front wheel came with a quick connect axle which was almost an inch short. Didn't make any difference, I didn't want the quick connect, so I installed the regular axle, when replacing the axle all the bearings fell out. From that point on it was a battle, because, as the instruction say, they may be another model. Don't purchase online, go to your local bicycle shop so you don't have to put the bike together. ... show more

  • Great bike
Color: Light Green
Everything came as it should, just had to adjust the front derailer. Would be good to get bigger pedals.

  • Awful
Color: Green
The very time riding this bike, the derailleur completely snapped. Absolute garbage. Do not buy. Assembly was not too difficult, seat is as uncomfortable as they come. I think next time I’ll just spend a little more money on a higher quality reputable name bicycle. Very dissapointing!!!

  • Good price, looks really nice, but iffy brakes, noisy, the worst seat.
The media could not be loaded. I was thrilled to get my mtb! Unpacking it was easy and assembly was simple, 5stars there. Bike is sharp! Looks very nice, but don't look too close, there are small nicks and scrapes all over. Not happy there. I totally see what people mean about the seat. It's not hard, but it's very small in width, so it feels like your sitting on a branch in a tree! Ouch there! Pedals... eh, ish, but really not bad. Will have to replace them eventually. Not a biggie. The one thing that bugs me the most, are the disc brakes! They have the ability to adjust properly and give you that smooth guiet ride, at least not on mine. I always hear the brakes rubbing and clicking, kinda like sticking a baseball card in the spokes when your a kid. I've adjusted the wheels & calipers in every possible combination, but just can't get rid of that noise! Who knows, maybe it's the bikes wheel bearings as well as the brakes. I would have given 4* but those darn brakes and noises!! Overall, a fair bike for the buck. Don't expect the quality of a $1000 or even $500 bike. Ya get whatcha pay for! ... show more

  • Awesome Bike, Two Problems
I'll start with the positives. The bike came well packaged, no punctures in box and all parts accounted for, though one of the nuts to the reflector lights is fortunate to not have been lost during shipping. I found it in the bottom of the box. Not sure how it got loose, but that's a close call. I mention the shape of the box only because my wife purchased her bike on ebay last week and it came from FedEx with the wheel hanging out of the box and punctures all over the box. Hers was a Roadmaster...not sure that matters, but kudos to the shipper of my bike for getting it here without any damage. The color in the pictures don't do this bike justice! It's beautiful. The blue is what you'd expect but the orange is kind of like a satin fluorescent. This bike pops and I love it! The bike feels solid, went together pretty easy, but here comes the two negatives I have about it. First, the front tire wobbles like no other. I'm not a bike mechanic so I don't intend to get the little tool that tightens and loosens the spokes, but I saw a YouTube video that suggested the spokes needed adjusting. That sucks guys. I get the bike comes 85% assembled, but if you took the time to mount the rubber, take the time to verify it doesn't wobble before sending it my way. Second, the rear wheel came assembled, but no time taken to adjust the brakes? It's annoying adjusting these brakes, and it's the first pain in the...well it's the first source of aggravation for me from the bike. If you're a bike mechanic or know how to adjust out the wobble and also adjust your own disc brakes, you won't have a care in the world with this. It's a great bike for the money, and the comparable Roadmaster budget bike my wife got came in way worse shape with even all of the stickers on her bike having the top clear layer coming apart. Pretty sure her tires don't wobble though... One more thing, I tried finding out where HH Hiland is made. It's made in China. The seller refuses to answer my question publicly and no other buyers have answered, so I'll add it to my post. See attached photos. ... show more

  • Major mechanical malfunction every single outing
Color: Green
I really wanted to go on 10 and 20 mi rides and try to get in shape cycling. So far every single time I've left on this bike I have had to walk back with it with some kind of malfunction that I can't ride with whether it's the handlebars suddenly needing to be retightened or today it was my left foot pedal that suddenly became loose and stripped out the axle. It's very disappointing to take all the steps to try to get in shape and enjoy some cycling outdoors just to have my bike break every single time I use it. For $300 I wasn't expecting the world but I was expecting it to fulfill the basic functions of cycling down the side of the road on a nearly flat surface. Update: the left pedal not the pedal part but the piece that goes into the axle, comes loose regularly enough that I have to carry an Allen wrench with me. Yesterday my rear brake cable came loose where it connects to the handle. The little barrel on the end of the cable came free of the clamp that it's supposed to be in. If I had known I would have this much trouble with the bike, I would have spent more and got a better one. ... show more
