I purchased this as a playmat for my daughter to try to keep her off the carpet since we have dogs that shed. I was really hoping this would work but it didn’t. Atleast for that reason. I can say though that it is waterproof, it has grips on the bottom that I’m sure would work on a hardwood floor, and it would be great as a drop cloth if your baby is just a really messy eater. As for the playmat? It got crumpled really easy and didn’t give my daughter much grip to try to scoot around. ... show more

I got one to put over my comforter since my cat has been getting sick sometimes (I've taken him to the vet). It's pretty light weight with rubber backing, easy to vacuum litter, easy to wipe with viva paper towels (regular ones will fray because of mat's texture), and looks pretty cute. However, when I bought a second one to protect more of my bed, the color was different- one is purple and one is grey 🤷♀️. I was not sure I was going to like this, not in it’s ability to cover the floor, but we have laminate floors that suck with liquid, enter this splat mat! We love this! So does our son. We purchased the animal printed one. Grips onto our wood floors well. Easy to clean! After meals I just clean the highchair over it and fold it up to shake the food off of it. I have cleaned it once so far outside with the hose on the deck and hung it to dry. I have been using the product for about a month and love it so far. At first, I didn't think I would like the material as it seemed very cloth like and not as wipeable and easy to clean as I hoped. I was wrong! Glad I gave it a try. It is very easy to wipe clean and is completely water proof. The grippers on the bottom keep it from sliding around while you wipe it clean. I wipe it after each meal and throw it in the wash each week. It comes out looking like new! Hope it continues to hold up well over time! ... show more

Great product! My baby throws over his food, and they land on the mat I breathe a sigh of relief. No sticky floors! Because it is water resistant, when u wash it in the machine and hang to dry, it drips all over! So if you hang ur laundry indoors and do not want puddles, keep this in mind. Perhaps put a towel. The fabric ontop can sometimes hold into certain textures. like play doh. In the wash it ends up coming out after 1 or 2 washes. I dont really care if it gets stained, that is the nature of the item!
