I found the black coated stainless screws to be a little soft, so definitely use the enclosed, long driver bit—you definitely want to come at them straight on or they will strip. The composite starter clips are a little different, but they work out along with these hard durable plastic hidden fasteners the decking will stay together for as long as the decking last and maybe then some. The hidden fasteners come in 5 different bags (100 each) to pace yourself with and will cover the 300 square feet. Great universal deck fastener box. Great buy! ... show more
