Just what I needed to lock a cabinet at work. Love that it's metal and not plastic. Feels heavy duty. Only complaint is that the inventory sticker was placed over the instructions for changing the Lock's combination.

I have a few combination locks similar to this one, and this one stands out for the ease of turning the dial and the smoothness of closing the lock. Using every technique I could find online I attempted to get any feedback from the lock, I put a notched decoder in and attempted to feel the wheels, nope. Grabbed some shims and was unable to make headway, and for the non-destructive low effort attacks it pretty much stopped me. It would not stop anyone who was attempting to open it and did not care if it get destroyed, but I suspect it would last slightly longer than you would think. Issues to note are that the shackle is only actually gripped from one side, and the little ridges on the other side are just for show. If you cut the shackle on the side of the lock body it is just going to fall away. Setting the combination is easy. The wheels are the best turning of my (guessing 5 now) combo locks. And for any low security situations I think this is going to be a good lock. I would take one look at it and break out power tools to remove it if it were attached to anything valuable though. I don't think it will survive a no skill power tool attack. It's going into my bucked of locks that have resisted my lockpicking skills (I am a noob,) and we'll see how long it remains there. ... show more

I had been looking for the right lock to keep my 5yo son and mom with Alzheimer's from raiding all the sweets in the house all the time. I put all shelf-stable treats in their own cabinet but my son kept figuring out and/or breaking all the child locks I put on it. I needed something that would hold the 2 handles together securely, wasn't flimsy, and really hard to figure out. This ended up being perfect! Neither my son nor my mom could get in but it's easy enough for the rest of the people in the home who know the code.
