My husband and I take our family to hibachi often, so my son is fascinated with the chefs and wants to be like them. So this is a neat little kit for your aspiring chef! The hat fits probably age 4-12 as it was a little big on our toddler, but it does stand up a little (although the material is not so stiff to stay like that long--maybe stuff it with some padding?). This is a great costume which our young chef plans to wear when he helps prep dinner. He plays a hibachi game on Roblox and was thrilled with this costume! Even though his head is large, I went with the child size so that the apron wouldn’t be to his ankles. The chef hat fit, but was super tight. Thankfully, they have a large piece of elastic acting as a sort of gusset which we will be able to do a quick fix on.
