  • Bonds vinyl extremely well!
Size: 4 oz
I came across this HH-66 Toluene Free Vinyl Cement, in the 4 oz. can. After doing extensive research online for my specific project. I purchased a used, but in excellent condition, full size, tonneau cover for my F150. I have a tool box in the rear and I wanted to cover the exposed bed. The tonneau cover had a length of 72" and i had to shorten it down to 45". As a handyman by trade and an RC hobbyists at heart. I took the tonneau frame apart and put it back together, almost achieving a factory finnish. 1. I performed a small test on two strips of vinyl. I didn't clean them (intentionally) because I wanted to test the cement on unclean surfaces to check the level of adherence. The cement bonded phenomenally! 2. Prep your surfaces/wipe both sides with alcohol before applying the cement. 3. Please note: The cement dries as you brush it on, if possible, I suggest working on small manageable sections like 5" to 10" sections at a time, brush on quickly. Once a desired section is complete, move on to the next piece immediately! "Do not waite to bond the pieces together after brushing the cement on them. Once the 2nd strip is covered in the cement start bonding the ends together so they don't dry-up on you in the process....if they dry, your going to be left with a weak/ poor bond, the ends may lift or you will end up with air bubbles trapped between the vinyl 4. Wetter is better! You need both sides to be tacky wet, not tacky dry. I can't stress this enough 5. Press and hold for a few minutes, I used duct tape, blue painters tape and a variety of different size binder clips for my application and it worked great, get creative 6. Take your time, my specific project took roughly 3 days. I worked on it mornings and late evenings. I wanted to finnish my project but I wasn't in a rush and it turned out great! 7. The smell wasn't overwhelming for me, (I have worked with an array of chemicals) but if your sensitive to smells, yeah, it's best if you work outdoors, a garage, a shed, or a porch or just crack open a window. 8. My seams bonded extremely well, tight, no water leaks, no issues, no lifted ends. 9. Clean up is a snap! If you don't have thinner just use your 91% rubbing alcohol on a rag and wipe everything clean, it will break down the cement the same way. If you made it this far, I hope the small details described in my review will help you during your next project (s) i would use this on flexible thick vinyl products, not the cheap flimsy stuff. Preferably on tonneau covers, pool covers, air mattresses, vinyl tarp repairs, etc. Just to name a few. Also, if you intend to use this cement on PVC pipes, don't! Just go to your big box store, they sell a kit specifically designed for PVC pipes. Reminder: Always try a test piece first, before moving forward. This way you will be able to move forward confidently. Take care all, just a handymans honest perspective. ... show more

  • Great for marine usage.
Size: 1 oz
Glue worked great. Used it to repair a split paddle board and it held perfectly. Left it pumped up all night and the next day it was still at full pressure.

  • Meets the top review expectations!
Size: 4 oz
This product works as advertised on SUP. I had a small nick at the factory seam between top and bottom halves of my SUP. I followed the directions and first glued the seam back together as best I could and then inflated the board to low PSI to establish the shape for adding a larger patch (using SUP manufacturer patch material) to overlap the seam and serve as a back up since I doubt I could repair the entire seam separation. Added some more PSI but still on the lower end for the next hour. Then took it up to full pressure and let it sit overnight. Holding pressure really well and this board is useable again (before repair would be un-useable ion 10 minutes tops)! Absolutely recommend this glue! I will adjust the review if down the road the repair fails but I do not anticipate this. ... show more

  • Better than crazy glue
Size: 4 oz
Used this to piece together an old delft cup given to me by my great-grandmother. I had attempted the fix with crazy glue, which adhered to my fingers and failed to adhere the pieces of the cup. This worked wonderfully.

  • Strong Bond That Held Up Better Than Expected
Size: 4 oz
I used this adhesive for a vinyl repair project and was impressed by the strength of the bond once cured. The glue spreads evenly and creates a flexible repair that doesn't become brittle over time. It worked particularly well on vinyl material that experiences movement and stress. The waterproof properties provide extra confidence for outdoor applications and inflatables. A little goes a long way, making the 4-ounce container last longer than expected. ... show more

  • The adhesive used by professionals
Size: 4 oz
How was the item? HH-66 Toluene Free Vinyl Cement 4 oz - Vinyl Adhesive- purchased to repair a 6-8” tear in inground pool liner. The tear was above waterline (no idea how it happened). I researched on costs to have liner repaired. Costs for vinyl liner above waterline is $150- $350 plus materials in my area. I had salvage strip of current liner. I decided to do it myself. If repair failed, I’d only be out cost of adhesive. Watched a few videos of vinyl pool liner repairs and several of those videos showed them using this HH66 adhesive. Checked Amazon and found the 4 oz can that was more than enough to make the repair without having to purchase excess product. Following directions on can, I applied adhesive to both the liner and the patch. It sets up within 3 minutes. Easy to apply with the built in brush. Just know that when it’s applied, there’s no room for adjusting much. This adhesive sticks in place immediately with very little wiggle room for lining up once patch has been installed. It’s been two weeks since application. I’ve checked edges around patch and interior of patch. Patch is still solidly stuck in place to the pool liner. The price is well worth it in my circumstances of facing a costly repair. In my opinion it’s waterproof too because after two heavy rainstorms there’s no evidence of the patch coming away from liner. There is a faint odor but no more than one might experience from a product like nail polish. ... show more
