Hi guy's. I was drunk when I was installing Windows 11 Pro fresh installed. I deleted the partition of my 8 tb. And caught myself I deleted wrong one. Anyway's installed WIndows 11 Pro. My program I am using EaseUS Data Recovery doing the job of scanning. Same time I'm checking for bad sector on this HGST. The short test came out great healthy. 20+ boot up shown so. Must be new right. Anyway's I'm doing full scan of all sector make sure it is top shape. Before I do back up. For now I am happy. This HD came in a sealed anti shock baggie. Drive look like almost new. A light scratch but even scratch is almost as dark. What ever scratch it didnt' scratch it deeply. No clicking no spin up and down loudness problem. Look's great. I will update after test and will date it in review also thrid test if i do review i will review for 3rd test. So far so good. :) ... show more

The ad states around 3 years of power on time, drives I received have over 4.5 years of power on time, The ad states 5 years of warranty, the drives come with a card stating 2 years, I realize these are cheap and the ones I received work fine, I just don't know why they don't state the truth, I still would have made the purchase... ... show more

Bought this to back up photos and 4K home videos, which are now approaching more than a TB in size. This drive was delivered very quickly and arrived well packaged. The sticker says it was re-certified in October of 2019, and the invoice states "5 year warranty" - if the drive lasts until 2025 (and it may last longer since I am using it for backups only) this is well worth the price. ... show more

Got this drive to replace a broken 1.5TB from my backup file server (NAS). Found no issue when running long test using smartctl. It is now part of a ZFS volume containing several 4TB and 2TB drives. It's been running for several months and I found no issue.
