I'm using this to connect an Apple TV box to a TV through an OREI audio/video splitter. The second input comes from a low cost unbranded HD 4K HDMI switch. The unbranded HDMI switch does not pass the Apple TV control signals to the TV. I have two of these 5 input switches daisy chained with a collection of devices attached. The Apple TV box control signals pass through this two input switch and through the OREI audio/video splitter so when I wake up the Apple TV box, the TV also wakes up and the reverse. This also means that the Apple TV box retrieves the video display settings from the TV so I don't have to manually enter these settings into the Apple TV box. On the second input I can access all the other devices: Hitachi VCR, Sony CD/DVD player, LG Blueray player, two OTA TV ATSC 1.0 tuners, Roku Express, and computer. The Apple TV box is used primarily to display the output from a Sonicdust HDHomerun OTA ATSC 1.0/3.0 TV tuner. Audio output from the OREI audio/video splitter goes to an OREI digital decoder to Logitech speakers and video to the TV. RCA output from older tech goes through RCA/HDMI adapters. ... show more

This product works exactly as advertised, I have a gaming PC and a PS5 which can both output 4k 120hz, but unfortunately my 4k 120hz TV only has one hdmi port capable of 4k 120hz. (Why do TV manufacturers do this? multiple hdmi ports but only one port has the ability to show off the TV's best features, ridiculous) So instead of having to go behind my wall mounted TV to change the hdmi connection everytime decide play my PS5 or PC. All I have to do is press the button on this device which saves me time and more importantly avoids the struggle of trying to unplug and then plug in and hdmi cord on a wall mounted TV. ... show more

My TV only has 2 HDMI 2.1 ports and one is busy with ARC. I have a PS5 and an Xbox Series X, with this switch I'm able to have them both plugged in to the same port but there are some issues. The PS5 seems to be pretty much the same as a direct connection. The Series X however does not detect Dolby Vision when using it. Also my TV crashes when trying to use the wake up from HDMI from the devices connected to the switch. It's a Sony X90J in case you are wondering if it'll happen to yours. Overall, the switch does its job but can be better. I'd recommend it if there's nothing better and you only have one HDMI 2.1 at your disposal. ... show more

    • Not 4k 120hz for PCs - Max is 1080 at 120
Doesn't support PCs at 4k120. It does get to 1080 120, but it's still disappointing. To be fair, I've tried a couple other brands and nothing has worked so far. Otherwise the unit works well with the brightest blue LED available.

You see price? It's worth it, trust me. I had my doubts about it. From some of the reviews to even the wording on the page, but I ordered it anyway. And it's small, like credit card small. I quickly set it up and as you can see from my pictures...it solved my problem. Sony 900h, has 1 hdmi 2.1, well 2 but the other is eARC. So instead of unplugging my PS5 and switching the cable to the Series X, I now have them both hooked up. Love it. Everything I need for all my gaming needs made simple. So if you are looking, thinking about buying it.....JUST DO IT!!! ... show more

I have it connected to an external monitor meant for my computer and my XBox Series X console, and switch between the two. Works great, but when I switch back from the console to the computer, I have to unplug and re-plug in the HDMI to the computer for it to recognize that the monitor is back and ready to use. This was my second HDMI switcher purchase off Amazon in my attempt to find a solution to switching between my Xbox and PS5 easily. As with the first device, there was no output to the tv from either device when I set it up. I give up I’ll just have to purchase a super long HDMI cable. I bought this because my Samsung QN90A latest model QLED TV IS 4K 120hz , but only on one of the 4 hdmi ports . SMH! I have my Xbox series X and PS5 plugged into this switcher and it works great . Same clear 4K video feed and full 120hz . No issues .
