We recently got two new little kitties, and needed a cat tree for them to keep in our living room. A lot of the ones online were super expensive, ranging from $100-$215 online! We found this one on Amazon that seemed to have pretty good reviews, and decided to test our luck. I was originally a little suspicious of buying something this big online, but it shipped very well and the instructions were very clear. We've had it for about a month now, and is holding up super well! Our cats are about 6-7 pounds each, and usually like to just sleep on the beds and especially enjoy the top of the tree. We mostly got this tree because of the great price point, but of course there were some drawbacks to it. For example, there was some suspicious pink dye on a small part of the scratcher, which wasn't a big deal, but it was still there. It didn't smell or anything, and it definitely wasn't anything harmful. It just looked like a little bit of dye. It also smelled a little fresh out of the box, and still has a faint smell to it when you put your nose to it. It came with a little piece of rope material to attach to your wall, but we chose not to use it as our tree isn't close enough to a wall. One of our cats chewed it off lol. I highly doubt they would chew it off if it was attached to the wall, but just beware of it if you don't screw it in to the wall, as your cat could injest it. I like that the tree came with it though, because it would really help with the tree not falling over when the cats try and jump on it, especially if your cat is a little heavier. At first they werent really sure how to get up higher, but quickly realized that they could use our couch to get onto the higher levels. So just beware if your planning on keeping yours in a secluded area that they might have some trouble getting into the top levels. The ledge that they use to get up higher is pretty small even for our kittens, and I think that they felt unbalanced when trying to jump up,as sometimes it's not the most stable it they're jumping from such a cramped space. Theres a very nice scratcher that looks like a ramp attached to the bottom of the tree, but for some reason my cats refuse to use it! While I was setting it up, some of the poles didn't quite line up with the holes, but that's to be expected with a cheaper cat tree. This tree is literally the perfect height for our living room, and it's very sturdy and good quality for the price point! It took a couple weeks for my cats to finally muster up the courage to get all the way to the top, but now they love it! They love to play with the little rope attached to one of the levels of the tree, and it really sturdy with a good base to screw into the top of the tree. They've kind of stopped going in the little castle on the bottom, but they still occasionally climb into it. They also love to use the scratchers on the posts, especially when they're running around playing. PROS: Very sturdy Easy to follow instructions Fun little toys all around it CHEAP!!!! Cats sleep in it everyday Matches with my living room CONS Smells straight out of the box, but goes away after a couple days (still smells a little like cardboard even after a month) Little patches of pink dye on the scratchers Some of the poles didn't like up with the screws perfectly A little unstable, but only when the cats jump from the ground or have a lot of momentum jumping on it. My cats really like it, still trying to get the bigger cat used to it tho and having a built in cat bowl really helps with that. it was super easy to put together and only took me about 30mins to an hour to set it all up and the instructions and tools it comes with were extremely easy. my smaller cat really loves it and she likes sleeping in the cloth bowl thingy (main reason i got it) it’s also really sturdy and lightweight, so pretty easy to move it wherever. i recommend having it by the window so the cat(s) can look out (itll also get them using it a lot more) overall i think this is a very nice cat tower for the both of my cats. ... show more

We bought this cat tower for a feral rescue cat and weren't sure he would know what to do with it. Well, he started climbing all over it as soon as I started putting it together-no catnip needed. He loved the house to scoot through different directions and the rope toy and bucket were big hits. Comes with a food dish, too! They included extra bolts. Assembly was straightforward and it feels sturdy to withstand an adult cat jumping-10 pounder. They include bonus directions for turning the shipping box into a bonus cat house. The material is soft and our cat rubbed all over it immediately. Color is as described. Included anti tip wall anchor, but so far we don't need it. Overall, great value! ... show more

My local pet shop wanted 3 times the price for this cat tree design. That made me VERY nervous to purchase this on line. However, the reviews were mostly positive and I took a chance… soooo glad I did! I’m a 50 year old woman. I don’t particularly like cats much. I’m a dog lover. I recently found myself fostering 4 kittens. I needed all the cat stuff and didn’t have a clue. I didn’t want the tree falling over etc bc I bought too cheap of one. Yet, I didn’t want to buy a $200 cat tree if I end up never having cats again after these kittens find their forever homes. I am NOT one who can typically put things together even if the instructions are written well. I despise assembling things! Yet, I had this put together and their no scoop poop litter box in 40 mins! So… super duper easy to put together!! It is not wobbly and it is well constructed! It’s so cheap! I was so nervous! It’s ugly as sin! It makes my living room look awful. However, those kittens absolutely love it! I added extra toys to it bc there are 4 kittens and 2 good toys. (There is a 3rd toy. It’s too short to be any fun for them. It’s the best toy location and the best quality toy. Yet, it’s too short??? Idk why they screwed that up. They did tho. It’s my only complaint about the workmanship of this product tho). This is an absolute yes if you need a cat tree. It’s soft and comfortable for them. It’s ugly! So ugly! But no one can have it all I guess! 😀 Enjoy your kitties! ... show more

I got the mushroom/mushroom color and it’s beautiful, more of a brown under white vs a pink like the photo shows. Looks great, went together easily (took me about an hour), and my cat has been a big fan ever since. A little catnip goes a long way in getting the “new” smell off, but there is no noticeable smell to the fabric upon arrival. Would definitely purchase again! ... show more

So far so good, this seems to have been a great buy! Quite easy to set up, and has been holding up well with our two cats playing hide-and-boop and using the scratch posts multiple times daily. The food dish has been great as well to allow them to get a snack out of reach of our two dogs any time they want.
