My cats love this but there are a couple of things I’d like to see on this tree. 1. Some better padding on top along with a bigger bumper on the top so keep the cat from stretching and falling off. 2. The side hammock isn’t made for an 11lb cat. My boy loves his hammock on the old cat condo and he fit in it beautifully. Had to purchase a separate one to fix this one for cat comfort. 3. The hammock at the bottom I would put higher to keep dogs and kids from the sleeping cat. 4. The single round platform is unnecessary. 5. The material on the entire thing is light weight. I suspect I will be repairing it within a year. 6. The cubbie on the 2nd platform down is flimsy. Something to be aware of is all. That being said, my two cats are happy with it and enjoy being in the afternoon sun. The height is enough that they can get a view of the entire room and adjoining rooms. They have a great viewpoint for the yard as well. Four stars because it feels strong, arrived quickly, looks nice, was easy to assemble, and both cats enjoy it. I’ll be modifying it a bit as mentioned above, but that is specific to my cats, who are 4 and 5 years old, so they still launch on and off of it, and wrestle pretty hard on the top. ... show more

I have two cats, a 1-year-old big and tall boy (17lb) and a 14-year-old short and stout boy (9lb). The small one loves the basket and the little covered house. The large one scratches the ramp and it’s holding up well but it’s a tight squeeze for him in the basket and the covered house lol. It’s a smaller-sized cat tree but I knew that when I bought it (at that time, my big boy was not so big). It’s held up well over the years and is sturdy enough for smaller cats but not recommended for 17lb behemoths. Good purchase. ... show more

    • Great tree but short landings; too small for adult cats!
Well-made item that looks great, easy to assemble; however, medium to large adult cats can barely lay in the small beds, and hammocks - very confined. The flat landing surfaces of this tree provide a minimal surface to stand and move to different areas of the tree. If you have a cat with shorter legs and balance challenges (like I do :-), they will have issues navigating this tree. If it wouldn't be such a chore to disassemble and return, I would be sending this back - but hoping I can add a shorter tree in the future to place alongside this one to make it work for the kitties. ... show more
