I have a large black Siamese baby and we had to throw out her old gross cat tree that was secondhand anyway. Same brand and she loved it so I went for them again. This seems to be almost like a starter cat tree for kittens or for just smaller cats in general. The strap that holds it to the wall is currently the only thing that keeps it from toppling over from her weight. It was easy to put together once I understood the labels which are also easy to understand. Anyone who can’t figure out how to put this together likely lacks common sense. It’s much softer than I anticipated (in a good way) in the pics it looks just semi soft but it feels really nice to both of us and I have sensory issues! I will say however it does seem cheaply made (also not an expert and our secondhand was about two years old and I never had a tear or anything) It comes with an extra ball which is perfect because I didn’t even hang it up yet and she was already trying to chew through the string of the spare like she did with her old cat tree ball. Three times. Don’t be too worried if the string breaks as you can retie it until you run out of length in the string. I definitely recommend this if you have cats on the smaller side it’s really good especially for the price! It is very sturdy I weigh roughly 105lbs and it held my weight perfectly. I should’ve looked at the sizes of the product before buying which sucks cause I’m normally great about that but I was in a hurry ... show more

My 17 year old cat had to be the first one to try it. She's average size, about 7-8 lbs and fit ok on the top bed. She didn't like the side bed and didn't fit in the hideout. It is fairly lightweight so anchoring it is a good idea. My 10 week old kitten loves this tree though and has hardly left it in 24 hours! It was easy to assemble. oy downfall is the carpeting on it is cheap and thin, and there are spots where the corners are pretty sharp. Otherwise, satisfied with purchase and will donate to a shelter when my kitten outgrows it. ... show more

The construction was very easy and it came with one extra of each hardware which is nice since often things coming with missing hardware. But the base is very small-- it will tip over if a cat tries to get in the basket if not anchored to a wall with the anchor strap. The media could not be loaded. I love this cat tree! I have a 3 month old, 4 pound kitten and it works great. My kitten comfortably fits in all parts. But I can see how it may be hard for a larger cat. My kitten loves every part of this cat tree. He was first afraid of it but he got used to it after a day or two and now is always playing on it. Assembly was a bit difficult but it was dooable. I set it up on my own and it took about two hours. If you have a larger cat, I definitely recommend using the included tipping safety to screw the tree onto the wall. My cat will sometimes jump so hard and the tree will kind of tip, so I will definitely be installing the tip safety. The fabric on the cat tree is so comfortable and looks beautiful, however, i always find the fabric in my cats fur after he plays on the tree. But that’s not a problem for me. The media could not be loaded. This was super easy to assemble and my two cats love it. The pompom toy that hangs from the top level is still attached which is a miracle -- they bat it constantly and have ripped off tons of toys from other trees so it proves this one is attached very well. I like that there's several levels the cats can play on, and they love taking naps in the little hammock. The only thing they don't use much is the ramp that looks like a scratching pad. It's a weird angle and I don't think they get that that's made of scratchy material. Other than that, they love it! ... show more

First off the directions were not that great. Then when I was assembling there were some quality control issues. Some holes not drilled completely through and the wood around some of the holes were cracked. Then after I got it together I realized the base is way to small. A bad foundation makes the tower unstable. I ended up screwing a larger piece of wood to the bottom. I now see why it was so cheep. ... show more
