I get so many compliments on this cat tree, which is not something I can say about any other that I owned. My cat is obsessed with it. She eats, drinks, sleeps, plays, and goes to the bathroom all in once place. I didn’t even have to teach her where her litter box was, she went straight to it like she was breaking in her new mansion lol It took a good two hours to build with a drill and 2 people, but it’s so stylish it’s worth it. My one complaint is that there’s no actual screws for the drawer next to the door. It’s just a metal peg basically and it falls out so I had to just remove it. Love this cat tree! I particularly love the feeding station and it was the perfect size for my space. The only issue is the way the post is set up between the bowls and the hammock sagging down on her when she eats. Another minor issue is that the hole into the litter box enclosure seems to be geared more toward a cat bed than a litter box. The hole isn't very tall, so I had to get a low-entry litter box with the entry being only 4" from the ground, and even that 4" covers about 1/3 of the entry. The first couple of weeks were great.. until my very energetic cats noticed they could pop open the door since the magnet wasn’t very strong so it kinda defeat the purpose of it. My cats enjoyed the tree part of it, but I got this for the purpose of my dogs to not get in the litter box but the magnet just wasn’t strong enough. Well thought out build, easily climbed by smallish cats (13lb and 5lb). The litter box can be accessed through the side entrance via a small archway cutout. The regular size litter box we wanted to put inside does fit, but the entrance is too high for the low archway opening. We also have a low step litter box that we keep around for our senior cat because it is easy to get in and out of. That fit with room to spare, so we also store some cans of wet food & baby food there, as well as extra deodorizer. Kitty used it right away (door off) For the money, I would have liked to see a bigger doorway to the litter box and I would have preferred Sherpa or rug to the chenille like fabric provided, as those are my cat’s preferences. I will apply some feliway to help dissipate the effect of the “new furniture” smell. But it does what I expected and fits where I needed it, so I am pleased with the value. So I read a lot of reviews and thought this would be a beast to put together. It was and it wasn’t. So it was fairly straightforward and simple, except the Allen wrench provided didn’t really want to hook in tightly so it repeatedly dropped to the floor, and the screws are super long so it was at times agonizingly slow until I got out my own toolbox (and later a drill). It CAN be done with the included tools, but not in a hurry. If you are handy and have things at home, it will be fairly simple, just realize it takes more time than you think. That being said, we had it together within 2 hours. It felt like days, but only because the Allen wrench progress was so tediously slow. The cats seem to love the setup. They have yet to eat out of the bowls but they use the litter box (I left the door off for now to help them get acclimated) and have climbed on it. Once it smells like home, I’m sure they will use it all the time. Or, you know, be a cat and totally ignore it on principle. Time will tell. ... show more
